TXT has the most difficult lore in all of kpop. I still don’t get it all after 4 years of being a fan. This song hit me so hard. Everything about it is so perfectly made from the lyrics, production, choreo, MV, their execution of the emotions, the wardrobe. They have grown so much as artists.

@@lokilaufeyson2144 Most of it is released in chronological order thankfully. For some, the lyrics are more important than the music video. I’m gonna go based off the Star Seekers lore.
As a prologue, watch all 5 members’ Questioning Films on TH-cam. It shows representative animals (i.e. Soobin = praying mantis), Morse code, flowers, shapes (i.e. Beomgyu = diamond-this crops up in their sticker designs in albums sometimes, like for Fight Or Escape), and body part (i.e. Taehyun = eyes-pay attention to where they hold their flowers. You’ll see this in a LOT of their lore content)

Deja Vu
Blue Hour fits, to me, best as a narrative transition from The Star Seekers to what I call the Chaos Saga-the narrative told in The Chaos Chapter with LOVESONG and LO$ER=LOVER as well as in minisode 2, Good Boy Gone Bad’s Japanese version, and Sugar Rush Ride’s Japanese version. That last one actually crosses over into Star Seekers territory, almost like the Chaos characters are peeking into a parallel dimension. The reason I say that about Blue Hour is that lyrically, it says it wants to Freeze the moment (aka The Chaos Chapter: FREEZE). However, it also feels like it sets up sentiments we see in The Name Chapter: Temptation-wanting to stay, to prevent tomorrow from happening because you’re fearful of the future, literally saying “I wanna be trapped in the magic”-like being trapped on Neverland, like in TNC: Temptation.
(Interestingly enough, in the bus station map-you can see good shots of it in the Jacket Shoot behind the scenes) in some of the photos for the Promise version of minisode 3 acknowledges the way that The Chaos Chapter diverges from the Star Seekers (minus FROST which is 100% Star Seekers) and tells a different if parallel story. To me, the Chaos Saga is the same people but in a parallel dimension.)
Additionally (yes I know this is so long already lol) here are some prominent, reoccurring, and/or notable symbols/visuals in The Star Seekers:
The odd-eyed cat: a white cat with one blue eye and one green eye who is a trickster fae of sorts. First appeared in BTS’s Bangtan Universe/HYYH lore. Known for tricking people into making deals that negatively impact them. A tempting devil of sorts.
Beomgyu = shoulders, butterflies, diamonds
Taehyun = eyes, birds, spellbook
Kai = wings, heart, lizards
Soobin = ear, praying mantis, tinnitus, premonitions
Yeonjun: fire, the odd-eyed cat, throat, horns/antlers, death
You’ll also see purple flowers, trains, train tracks, Ttukseom Park, antlers/horns, wings, d20, doors, a particular magic symbol which I think makes its first appearance in Run Away, a couple references to a dragon, crowns, the time 5:53, magic islands, and lyrically a buuunch of references to promises, eternity, friendship, and tomorrow.

TXT is known for having the most crazy Kpop storytelling concepts! Telling the story of a friendship between 5 boys who are growing up, accepting themselves, examining their friendships, and navigating promises and betrayals. They go through a series of confusing events, from growing fantasy body parts to visiting a magic island and revisiting memories. The entire story of TXT is about coming of age, but it goes through the world of fantasy, When they were young they made a promise to a star that they would be together forever. However they ended up separating and the star fell asleep. As they grew older, they started growing pains and fears that manifested onto their body like horns, pointy ears, spikes, odd eyes and wings. Have they become monsters? They wondered. The boys met again, but they didn't remember anything not even each other, why they met and what they had to do. As they reunited, they began to grow a friendship once again, playing and laughing with each other. They created the magic once again and started playing with it as they pleased. Reversing time, freezing the magical moments they created with their imagination. But dealing with something they don't know well, ended up messing with their reality, as the magical world they created started getting mixed with the reality and soon falling into chaos. Their friendship started falling apart as jealousy, distrust and death got on their way. They started fighting and they didn't know who to trust, what to remember and if they could be saved. A greater power out of their magical world is now flying in the sky (the dragon). It starts attacking them, destroying their friendship, their dreams and their world. Trying to save everyone and their friendship, they make a deal with an odd eye cat, but that power came with a price that they would suffer to pay. Now, as their monstrous side are surfing and chaos is taking over their lives, they must remember a name, a name that needs to be called, a true name that might help them. They must also remember a song, the song of the star, that once they sing it together they can save their friendship. Of course, this is all a metaphor for growing up and facing the reality of adulthood.
In the “Sugar Rush Ride” music video that included Neverland - the fictional island in Peter Pan associated with eternal childhood - to show how the boys temporarily gave in to their temptations before “they thrust it away.” “Sugar Rush Ride” is specifically about “a boy who falls to the sweet temptations of a devil.” In their song’s refrain, they sing about being swept away in a fantasy by a devil, who promises to fulfill their greatest desire: Freedom. During the pre-chorus, TXT says they can’t help but give in to the devil. After failing to resist, TXT ends the song by realizing they’ve been played by the devil. Of course, this is all a metaphor for growing up since the song is about facing the reality of adulthood.
In the"Chasing that feeling" MV they leave paradise and fall into reality which is what their latest album is about, (the name chapter Freefall). And each song portrays phases of their confrontation with this new reality.
The phrase "Since some things are precious but invisible to the eye, we forget them as life passes by", is a reference to the book The Little Prince, as well as the fennec fox, which is also present in the minisode 3: TOMORROW Concept Trailer.
They also have a webtoon "The star seekers". The story of the webtoon is tied with the lore of the mvs, but not completely the same, if it makes sense. There are definitely a lot of same elements, but while in the webtoon they are used to tell the fictional story about five fictional characters, in the MVs they're used to tell the story about five real boys growing up. In the MV Deja vu there are many references to their webnovel The Star Seekers.
They create one big story about five boys who are growing up, accepting themselves, examining their friendships, and navigating promises and betrayals. Just like the puma in the song is both a victim and a monster (since it's trapped in a cage, but letting it out of that same cage might be dangerous), TXT's characters are both angels and devils. Of course, this is all a metaphor for growing up and facing the reality of adulthood.

First of all... My dear Roscoe has his priorities in order and I knew from the first look of the MV that sweaters would be number one. Second, this song is amazing! Omg yes !! All three scenes u pointed out are my fav parts from the director too !! Hueningkai being pulled backwards with rope, yeonjun running backwards, and final scene of beomgyu clinging onto yeonjun hand was really the shock moment for MOAs. Cause it was a big plot reveal for their concept lore !!
PLSSSS do TXT "Frost" special performance vid review. Its shows the darker side and if you like the insanity of the words you'll love it. It also actually fits the song as a whole instead of the "officially mv" lol im begging!

I will give props to the Korean sweaters for being environmentally conscience and using them instead of filling up a landfill.
Btw the gist of txt lore is quite simple to understand, a few Korean yt videos have concise them in 10mins. All u need to know is their main lore message is songs that represent current day youths and the struggles of inner emotional conflicts they can face from high school to working adult 😂.
But Deja Vu concept draws inspiration on "Your Name" anime movie plot, second half of Deja Vu MV had many exact same cutscenes with Your Name.
Also, this song's album draws references to Little Prince (an old fiction story from France). So, knowing these story plots beforehand will make u understand this album's plot better 😂

Thank you for this reaction, Roscoe! Love this mv, TXT's biggest challenge has always been to carve their own path and not be seen as BTS-lite and these recent years they have managed to do that. On point vocals and choreo, dramatic visuals and it's just me but every time the camera flashes on Yeonjun I'm like "aaaw, he's so cute!" In Suchwita ep 8, Taehyun expressed their dream that all 7 members of BTS will be proud of them. I hope BTS will reassure them that indeed, they have earned that pride.

I found a 5 min explanation that did a fabulous job
I'm horrible with figuring out lore/storyline, so I rely on other. I found this comment on another reaction & honestly, it makes sense to me. They do mention that it's just a summary of the lore, & there is SO MUCH, but this does feel like the basics of it. This is their theory.
Side Note: I've heard a lot of people mention the channel 'Bookish Theories' about explanations & MV/Storyline breakdowns. I haven't checked them out yet, but I should considering how bad I am with Lore/storylines.
TXT's Deja Vu theory

From a concept pov, the lyrics are actually linked to previous releases, including Crown. The lore is huge, but to summarize, through the previous releases TXT, shows us their growth as individuals starting with the first chapter (Crown) where the members make a promise to each other to be together. During the releases we see them reach the Magic Island (Run Away), being taken aback by what it has to offer (SRR) and growing further and further apart while missing each other ( Can't you see me, Loser=Lover). Deja Vu takes place after they leave the Magic Island (SRR) and we see them taking about remembering their promise and trying to find/save each other. At least that's my interpretation of it😅 the Morse code also relates to their pre-debut, as during that time different Morse codes where released about the members.

But separate from the storyline/lore, they've had one theme through their discography(MV's) since their debut & that's what you experience when you're 'Growing-up'.
You go from the innocence of childhood, to the confusing emotions of adolescence, to reluctantly becoming an adult, and what you lose & gain along the journey.
If you watch all their MV's in order, you can see it. I love their discography. It's not just good, it's relatable.
