I had to look up the SCAM monitor, and one of the sites said it was great for second or third DUIs. WTF??? The second slurred something incomprehensible and fled the scene. ALWAYS GET THE PLATE FIRST. I am sorry to hear about the people far more seriously impacted. I can’t imagine what that feels like.

I looked up her attorney and it appears he died July 17, 2024. Note all of the medication bottles on the shelf when he rolls away to the desk in his shorts/boxers. I bet he was terminally ill and didn't tell anyone. My father did the same thing.
She needs to do time. She's been given way too many chances!!! Who is she sleeping with in the district attorneys office??? She doesn't care what she has done or how she has hurt the victim. She needs a rude awakening. Come on, Judge Boyd, please do the right thing.
This woman has me so incensed! She’s an unapologetic, manipulative liar who’s clearly unable to follow through with the extremely lenient probation conditions because she’s, apparently, above the law. She’s a self-entitled pos who’s just going to violate her probation again and again and will never learn. Judge Boyd really dropped the ball with her and should’ve sent her to prison at the get-go. Probation doesn’t work with offenders who totally lack impulse control, empathy, and a moral compass.
She looks worried that Judge Boyd wants the tech for device to testify! I hope she gets busted🤬 She’s a master manipulator and got away with her crime and destroying a family!
Yes, She’s the first person to have so many issues and malfunctions with every technology. Judge Boyd is done with her baloney. Hopefully she gets revoked on Sept 12th as well.
There is no excuse how long it took for this man to get justice. His tears were heartbreaking to hear, for him to have been drug thru the court system for so long waiting for this awful case to finally come to sentencing. Do better justice system.
WTF, she’s poor, buying all the clothes, a plethora of free time to post on social media and we just learn now she is married. They kept that under wraps for a while. Restitution to the victims is 200 hours of community service and potentially waived for what? She repeated her daughter’s father, so the other kid has another father - meaning she is probably getting child support.
judge seems so afraid to put her in jail for some reason. she has been in this court a million times and always had excuses for the testing and etc..she maimed a man for life and she thinks this a joke and seems to be untouchable. should have been in jail after the first hearing
It is pretty cool how you are also a good investigator, as well as work really hard to make your shows so complete and thorough. Thanks for the hard work Meg, you do brilliant videos. PS. Im digging Judge Boyd's hair! She is my favourite Judge, then Judge Wolfe.
Yet again a Defendant that had cost another citizens so much pain and suffering gets a slap on the wrist first from the DA and then from Judge Boyd...for a few years straight... ...never sees a jail cell as she glides thru Judge Boyds court with no actual consequences. Pathetic and Piss Poor.
Everyone seemed to have forgotten how her perfume and Lysol caused "false" readings on the SCRAM tether in the first months of this charade. That is impossible btw because the device is not measuring the actual alcohol it is measuring the molecules of ethanol vapor being expelled from the body. It is shocking that the court doesn't understand how the SCRAM actually works. This woman is a con artist and should be in prison because she doesn't give a $hit about anyone but herself. Absolutely despicable!
This woman strikes me as a complete narcissist and perpetual victim. There is no excuse for drunk driving and she is only remorseful that she got caught.
She’s absolutely ridiculous, judge is way to lenient, she’s not testing positive for Lysol she’s drinking . The poor victim 😢breaks my heart truly . And back again for refusing to test and failing to register for her programs and released again , no jail wow so disturbing. Now hearing case 11 how is she not in jail for 10 years after violating 10 plus times
I’m 148 days free from a fentanyl addiction. It started with opioids prescribed my doctors for multiple chronic pain conditions. I remember when they started to find fentanyl in my system, I said some of these things. Not Lysol, obviously, but things like “could I have come into contact with it at a store? I have no idea why that’s in my system. That’s terrifying!” I eventually stopped going to pain management and started using fentanyl exclusively.
Warning - possible trigger warnings (suicide, self-harm, gun violence) The comment you showed from the family member broke me. I cannot get over a sensation that I failed to protect the ones I love and care about. I know that the feeling is illogical (i.e., if I tried to disarm the guy that pointed a gun at my wife's head in front of me then she may have gotten shot). But that doesn't fix things. Until I had a breakdown in May 2023 I was working in crisis support and suicide prevention, but things happened in my role that further led me to blame myself more for failing to protect people. I hate myself, I self-harm as I deserve to be punished and thoughts of leaving this world often enter my mind. Since August last year I have spent a total of 88 days in a psychiatric hospital trying to get help. This included medications, TMS, ECT and EMDR. At this point none of them have helped me to find the self-forgiveness I need. I wish I had the strength the victim had in that moment to protect the people he cares for. I would take the pain of all those I care about if it meant they are safe. Sorry I know this is probably not the place to share this, but I really appreciate the way Meg handled the situation around the victim and honestly I needed to get at least part of this off my chest. I originally wrote a huge comment detailing a bunch of trauma, but I deleted it as I am worried that what I have already said may hurt others. I wish you all happiness, health and peace in your lives.
You seem like a very passionate, empathetic, and caring person. I pray that you find peace, comfort, and the self love that you deserve. Because you do deserve happiness and love. Even if you have a hard time believing that or feeling that, you deserve it just like you say others do as well. Hang in there. 💕
It is messed up, Meg! And to answer your question about what happens if someone comes to the door when you are not wearing pants? I opened it, stark naked! It was a stinking hot day, 44degC on the outskirts of Perth Western Australia, 50 years ago. I had two babies, a 6 month old and a 17 month old and a couple of dogs. The 1 acre property was quite secluded, the house was not visible from the road with a long driveway. I didn't have air conditioning, so the kids and I stripped off and together with the dogs, in the shade of a big tree, we were having fun with the garden hose when two young American missionary Mormons knocked on the front door. The look on their faces as I stood there dripping wet, big smile on my face was priceless!
My ex had a DUI. He went to court. He lost his license for a year and a half. He didn’t drive because he lost his car in the DUI. And that was it. A year and a half later. He was able to drive again. How can people make things so complicated?
Meg, I just wanted to say I appreciate all the work and effort you put into this video! I really enjoyed this setup with the ‘days since crime’ I find it really puts things into perspective. I also think this lady is a lost cause. She is just not going to learn until she spends and good amount of time behind bars in misery and lots of time to think. I’m glad the victims lived and are ok. Stay strong sir! Much love Meg and thanks again ❤
So he receives a life sentence of pain, surgery and disability and she gets a slap on the wrist and "alcohol treatment?" She should be in prison and during the day working *every day for 16 hours* per to pay his bills and make restitution! She ruined his life and got away with it all! I am so sick and tired of women using god to excuse their bad behavior. If she were "godly" she would not be out cavorting as a drunk in a car while who knows what is watching her children.
Its become the thing to say that they are christian but they don't act like one. No wonder people have the wrong impression of what a christian is. You have to walk the road of a christian and act like one. Words dont prove anything. As the saying goes "Actions speak louder than words". Her actions are not in the least christian. Her words are empty.
Very sad he died of prostate cancer. It’s 2024 weeks all now know that cigarettes kill. Don’t ever start than it won’t be a problem. RIP Mr. Longaker you tried to be a good attorney to the bitter end. We salute your dedication. People criticize him for not stopping but at think he felt that would be giving up on his fight against his cancer if he stopped working. People should give him some grace, we hopefully will never know what he went through with pain and illness from his drug and possible radiation treatment. .
I disagree; victims should not be incentivized to change their impact statements based on the possible sentencing ramifications. As far as I know they can testify in the civil damages case that is likely to follow.
@@sylvan429 he has already been in court in one of her previous hearings. he is maimed for life and she still walks, something isnt right with this case
Apparently, Judge Boyd feels strongly about the VIS not being read until after the ruling. Her decision is based on the facts of the case, not the emotions of the victim/s. I’m not sure how I feel about this.
i think it’s because something like that could come back on appeal and get her sentence overturned. Judge isn’t leaving any room for nonsense like that to happen. Judge has the full case file and medical.. She knows he’s hurt. And she has definitely factored that in, but if she hears compelling testimony from the injured party and deviates from the recommendation of the state and probation department a good attorney will eat that up and get her off scott free
Why, oh why would this take SO MANY hearings? And HOW has she been able to go out partying, posting it on FB? Alcohol doesn't stay in your system very long so wouldn't she be able to pass UA pretty easily? Seems like Judge Boyd is being a whole lot more chill here than I've ever seen with a substance case....
Alcohol stays in urine 3-5 days and in your sweat (which the SCRAM BRACELET tests) for 6-72 hours. The scram bracelet usually takes a reading every 30-60 minutes. So the defendant is hoping that her urine tests will be negative and then she can blame the positive scram reading on something else. Which, has worked several times for her so far, which is crazy.
So she NOW admits she has an alcohol problem? So all the previous positive alcohol findings on her devices weren’t due to Lysol? (Like any of us believed that!). She is a compulsive liar and her apologies sound so fake. The only thing she is truly sorry for is getting caught and having her social activities curtailed. She should be locked up in prison for the horrible accident she caused.
She has gotten off so many times it makes me sick. Here we are again getting off lightly our justice system is weak, bending over backwards for people who drunk even at the risk of the public. Our justice system is worse then any other country. She should be in jail for at least 93 days.
Love your channel Meg!! It’s great how you show the cases in chronological order to the finish! Also, I like how you don’t interject or talk while the case is going on (like a certain law talk guy does all the time!!😡) but you explain what’s going on before each case. From now on I’m watching your channel instead of that other annoying guy!!❤
She certainly does have a fake smile in court. I also believe she tells lies to keep out of trouble. Stupid people always make their lives worse with their continuing criminal behaviour. By hearing #3 I am positive she lies. I have never seen Judge Boyd so lenient. This woman led to a man being hospitalized for a month and who knows how he is long term.
Whaddya wanna bet that, come September 12th, the person in charge of the PAM device tells the court they tested the one she had and it was working perfectly?
MEG! This was a crazy good episode... love the editing, the narration, and that day counter really helped tie the context to the hearings... been great fun seeing you evolving as a creator since the days of 10 subscribers...:)
Miss carriage of justice for the victims in this case. Very Upset with Judge Boyd in tbis! 584+ days allowing this to drag out. Absolutely unforgettable!😠
Having had back surgery that didn't work , this guy will be suffering his whole life. I'm surprised they didn't look through her social media accounts ,actions speak louder than words. Sad
I always want to tell the defendants "Stand up straight! Stop Slouching! Hold your head up straight!" Sometimes the head tilt is defiant, sometimes it's simple laziness, and sometimes it's coquettishness. It's always annoying to me in a defendant standing before a judge.
I don't understand why judge boy didn't send her down to be tested on the spot. Did she just recently start doing that? What does her sob story have anything to do with drinking and driving? And if she had a traumatic childhood she should not have bred!!
The scram devices can tell if it’s consumed alcohol or if it is environmental. So the perfume is a lie. They can tell. What shocks me is that judge Boyd let it go this far. Usually she is really strict, as she should be for felony offenses.
Two plus years since the DUI…still can’t get in compliance. The second to last hearing , she was pissed that Judge Boyd caught her having a vehicle without the interlock device. She gave such a dirty look at the bench, but not at Judge Boyd directly.
I believe our governments should find a way to assign cost to every case to include the cost of every hearing, the employees their wages, etc. That way we can see how much money we actually spend on something as Ludacris as this. Ms martinez should be required to pay all the cost associated with her case for the two years. This has been going on. She oughta have to pay back every penny that it has cost the taxpayers for this.
Its obvious this woman is a narcissist that is only mouthing what she thinks will make her look good in court. Didnt mean a word of it. She should have gotten that ten years and more.
I understand the defense lawyer passed away. I wish he had realized that he needed to retire a while back. And he needed to have a partner or at least someone to answer the phone when people call, and call in to court when he could not appear.
with all that (watched it all) she's still smug and smirky at the end. it's just a slightly annoying inconvenience to her life. thank you again for your well crafted and well researched video. it's good to hear more fleshed out stories than to watch court snippets.
01:38:39 This is not the first time she's tried to blame something other than her own behavior - before it was "Lysol" and now it's a "defective" machine. 🙄 ONE WONDERS if "everybody" has the same kinds of problems with these machines? Or is it just her? 🤔
Where is the justice for this poor man???? I truly believe that there is something going on ‘behind the scenes’ She can’t be getting away with this!! A man’s life is ruined because of her!
“It’s embarrassing” she says. It is NOT embarrassing. It’s shameful and disgraceful. She has two kids and has hurt people badly, lied repeatedly, and caused permanent damage. She needs some serious jail time.
This attorney needs to retire whats all this crap about abuse & whaever else ur a grown ass woman millions of us have been threw simular or even worse so dont be using that to try get out of this 1
You said they should’ve let him leave first instead of letting them pass and him holding the gate for her but I think she deserved to witness how gracious he was and what he looks like so his face is burning in her memories forever if she has a conscience. I also think he deserved the right to look her in the eyes and make her see him! He’s a much better man than I could have been! I hope he gets closure and everything good life has to offer and apparently his son was in the car also so he’s had to deal with what happened to him and his injuries but add being a dad on top of that and he’s better than most men and women I’ve ever met! He didn’t have an ounce of vindictiveness in his demeanor. Love hugs and prayers to him and his family.
Mentioned it before, but there's a HUGE difference between the criminal justice system in the huge (very liberal) metro areas (Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, Austin, etc.) and the rest of the state of Texas. This is in San Antonio, so you get probation for a near fatal DUI case. If this happens somewhere else, like in Judge Stevens court, she'd be serving a long ACTUAL prison sentence. I live in Florida and had a friend of my family commit a nearly identical crime and he got about 4 years in prison.
The only justice here will be that she won't make it through probation, and she'll end up in jail. As a Christian, I didn't appreciate her lying to the Judge early on and invoking the name of Jesus saying she didn't even drink. I realize denial is very real with both drug users and alcoholics, and I guess we can only hope she truly learns something. Meg, you sharing about what she has been posting on social media add to my feelings that she doesn't truly take any of this seriously. I pray for that poor man and his son that have suffer and will continue to suffer from this. So sad.
@@lesliegc041 did you extend that same “break” to the lady you don’t know but are clearly set on judging and condemning ? no. you didn’t. give yourself a break.
I had to stop watching it when the defense attorney was trying to get her probation shortened. It was sickening that he and she are lying throughout this case.
As someone who works from home and often does not wear pants doing so, I developed the skill of putting on pants when the doorbell rings and also the skill of knowing when my children will be home from school and remembering to put pants on. If I care to. My children have seen me without pants many, many times, I'm pretty sure that's a normal parent-child thing. Like what do you do when your kids walk in on you changing?
You actually can't have someone else blow, it will get you violated at your monthly upload. They install a camera that takes pictures that are uploaded when you blow. At least they do in the state of Pennsylvania.
After all those hearing dates she and probably her lawyer thought for sure she'd get probation and not go into custody. I agree 100% with the victim that she should've gotten jail time. Also, I'm not too sure the DA likes the sentence. I think she's going to violate because they've been lenient on her and she think she's gotten off easy.
I wrote a huge rant cause I was so po'd but I deleted it because why give her any attention, even negative I'm so grateful the fiance posted, she is just as great a person as he is, they are lucky to have each other. @@gerrycastlemanwarde5933 she must be around a lot of people with either defective vision or "issues" if her looks been relied upon for anything.
Do you know that? I would be interested in knowing how or why? How you know? You people are just so smart about other peoples lives!
She doesn’t have money for all of her testing but she’s got plenty of money to go out drinking 4-5 times a week!!!
@@janicebarnes4179 Not to mention a lot of expensive-looking clothes. (Not the jail scrubs)
And for clothes.
I looked up her attorney and it appears he died July 17, 2024. Note all of the medication bottles on the shelf when he rolls away to the desk in his shorts/boxers. I bet he was terminally ill and didn't tell anyone. My father did the same thing.
He had prostate cancer.
White blonde privilege.
She looks worried that Judge Boyd wants the tech for device to testify! I hope she gets busted🤬 She’s a master manipulator and got away with her crime and destroying a family!
EXACTLY!!! 👏🙌🙌
She is a self serving alcoholic narcissist! She has fooled the court for 3 years.
Thank you for your hard work putting this together.
Glad you enjoy it!
If the SCRAM is reporting alcohol and the UA is clear, I'd straight away think she has somebody else's urine in her bag to give at testing.
the reason she has to go to an office to do the UA is because someone is supposed to WATCH her pee so she cant pull anything.
judge seems so afraid to put her in jail for some reason. she has been in this court a million times and always had excuses for the testing and etc..she maimed a man for life and she thinks this a joke and seems to be untouchable. should have been in jail after the first hearing
Unusual for Judge Boyd. She often gives one chance, then after that the gloves are off. I wonder why she went so soft here.
Got money I guess and gives the court money so yeah
It is pretty cool how you are also a good investigator, as well as work really hard to make your shows so complete and thorough. Thanks for the hard work Meg, you do brilliant videos.
PS.
Im digging Judge Boyd's hair! She is my favourite Judge, then Judge Wolfe.
Yet again a Defendant that had cost another citizens so much pain and suffering gets a slap on the wrist first from the DA and then from Judge Boyd...for a few years straight... ...never sees a jail cell as she glides thru Judge Boyds court with no actual consequences.
Pathetic and
Piss Poor.
I was hoping we would see her go to jail in the end. Our legal system is effed up on so many levels. 🤬
Rest in peace Att. Kenton Longaker. You will be missed.
This woman strikes me as a complete narcissist and perpetual victim. There is no excuse for drunk driving and she is only remorseful that she got caught.
I'm only 20 minutes into this, but this lady is completely ridiculous
The most ridiculous lady is the commentator Meg. Keep watching and see. She’s such a hater on this woman. She messed up and will pay for it.
Ive never seen judge Boyd so lenient with a defendant early on. She is usually so strict
Congrats to you for beating it!
Congrats on your sobriety! Just take it a day at a time. I'm 11 years clean from prescription opiods.
i'm glad ur getting better; good work.

Warning - possible trigger warnings (suicide, self-harm, gun violence)
The comment you showed from the family member broke me.
😂😂😂😂
I love this story!!
So he receives a life sentence of pain, surgery and disability and she gets a slap on the wrist and "alcohol treatment?"
She should be in prison and during the day working *every day for 16 hours* per to pay his bills and make restitution!
She ruined his life and got away with it all! I am so sick and tired of women using god to excuse their bad behavior. If she were "godly" she would not be out cavorting as a drunk in a car while who knows what is watching her children.
Her attorney passed away recently. RIP
Literally like 6 days ago!
Awe, may he rest in peace…..
So sad
Omg, may he rest in peace.
Exactly. The word christian means "Christ-like".
People should give him some grace, we hopefully will never know what he went through with pain and illness from his drug and possible radiation treatment. .
An obviously strong, resolute fellow. I can't imagine how awful he must have felt physically, yet he still did his job without complaint.
The victims should make their statements before sentencing so it can be used for determining the sentence
She said last time and here that she takes full responsibility for what she did. Seems she doesn't know what that really means.
Why, oh why would this take SO MANY hearings? And HOW has she been able to go out partying, posting it on FB? Alcohol doesn't stay in your system very long so wouldn't she be able to pass UA pretty easily? Seems like Judge Boyd is being a whole lot more chill here than I've ever seen with a substance case....
alcohol is a drug, too.
Yeah right, she asked the pharmacist if there was alcohol in a spray. GMAB. I can't believe she was let go again, and again, and again.
I am always here for Judge Boyd's fresh flowers 💐 and beautiful purses 👛
She has gotten off so many times it makes me sick. Here we are again getting off lightly our justice system is weak, bending over backwards for people who drunk even at the risk of the public. Our justice system is worse then any other country. She should be in jail for at least 93 days.
I lost all respect for Judge Boyd because of this case.
She should have been in custody the day of the accident
Oh, I'm sure she's going to make it her mission over the next three weeks to break it!

Judge you should have put her in jail. Judges just dont take drunk driving or stopping them by jailing them and having them get mental help.
Miss carriage of justice for the victims in this case. Very Upset with Judge Boyd in tbis! 584+ days allowing this to drag out. Absolutely unforgettable!😠
She should get sentenced this is ridiculous. She deserves the 10 years.
There seems to a correlation between swearing to god or on loved ones’ lives, and lying. It’s a shame.
She acts like no one could go look her up on social media and see her real personality!
Prime example to stop her BEFORE SOMEONE DIES. She won't stop and pulls every trick in the book.
Thank you for all the research and time you put into this video. It really helps to give a better insight into all that went on in this.
Thanks for this! Her lawyer sure didn’t look happy when the judge didn’t buy his bullsh*t. That defendant is horrible!!!!
She is wearing a man's coat. I am assuming she came to court dressed like she was going to the club. She is lying about the vehicle and not driving.
@@marindupre1246 Yep! Nice catch.
Love your commentary and sponsorship! Yay Meg
Judge Boyd has the patience of a saint, and the wisdom of Solomon.
I understand the defense lawyer passed away. I wish he had realized that he needed to retire a while back. And he needed to have a partner or at least someone to answer the phone when people call, and call in to court when he could not appear.
I think he was just sick and wat we are seeing is him fighting cancer and still working for health insurance
@Fayw2023 - yeah, you'd think that he would inform the court of the situation, right? Weird

Meg, I love how you pop in between the cases and give us a quip. So cute!
with all that (watched it all) she's still smug and smirky at the end. it's just a slightly annoying inconvenience to her life.
thank you again for your well crafted and well researched video. it's good to hear more fleshed out stories than to watch
court snippets.
She absolutely was under the influence in Hearing #6!
She is a piece of work!!! I do not believe her excuses 😢
She should have gotten jail time. There was serious injuries and she gets probation.
“It’s embarrassing” she says. It is NOT embarrassing. It’s shameful and disgraceful. She has two kids and has hurt people badly, lied repeatedly, and caused permanent damage. She needs some serious jail time.
She dresses pretty good to be so poor.
She should have gone to jail the first time. I really hope she does get time.
How much taxpayer money was wasted on this case? It’s irritating and she should have gone to jail right away.
Oh my Lord! That victim impact statement! If I was her, I would have been in a blubbering heap on the floor begging for forgiveness! 😩
No you wouldn’t. Stop seeking attention.
That back bookshelf line made me laugh a lot harder than it should have.

It’s a way to abuse the system and get what she wants! Pathetic.
He actually died last month so...
He was fighting cancer and no one knew
So sad.

I had to stop watching it when the defense attorney was trying to get her probation shortened. It was sickening that he and she are lying throughout this case.
That defendant is so unbelievably smug! She needs jail. She’s going to kill someone!
Interlock vs SCRAM. Scram gives you an immediate reading for alcohol use. Interlocks you can skirt by getting someone else to blow for you.
You actually can't have someone else blow, it will get you violated at your monthly upload. They install a camera that takes pictures that are uploaded when you blow. At least they do in the state of Pennsylvania.
not anymore. theres cameras in interlocs that record the entire blow and send it to your PO
Also interlock picks up on odors or alcohol in the car.
I know people make mistakes, but the defendant is so unremorseful it made me cry. I had seen some of the hearings but hadn't seen the last goat odeo. Too bad court doesn't look at defendant's social media like employers do
