Yeah if he would just not interrupt with the commercial because that just ruins the whole narrative... for me, anyway.
I've learned to just turn down the sound.
I wish he would go back to the way he used to do the stories. I.e. without the commercial interruption.

I know a guy who had hyperglycemia (too much refined carbs/sugars cause insane mood swings). When he was like 12/13 his parents sent him to a 6 week camp for “crazy” kids. They called him crazy. Well this came was for kids who used drugs and kids who had extremely behavioral problems from having been horribly abused (beaten and sexually). They were literally an upper middle class family and the poor guy had never been exposed to even the knowledge that such evil existed as the stories those poor children told in “circle time”.
Needless to say….. he wanted very VERY little to do with his parents after that. He went to an away school after that and was extremely happy to be away from them. Of course the staff at the away school helped him figure out that he had hyperglycemia and he regulated his diet. The freak outs stopped. But he was never crazy, and his idiot parents calling him crazy for years made him believe he was. That God for that boarding school. He learned who he really is and has a great life now.

I know the feeling. Something very very bad just happened in Lebanon Missouri come or recently that is. Not all the details are out yet but in a small town the real story gets around. It’s funny listening to how everybody thinks they know the real story and the chime in about an impasse rumors, but when you know the truth it’s so much more horrifying. The details are far more grizzly the most people could even imagine so when they try to pass up made up shit for the real thing, when the real thing comes out it makes their stories look very tame

A lot of wicked shit happens in ohio, unfortunately. Cincinnati native here, and I'm always hearing about Cincinnati or Ohio in everything I watch or read or some way or some where. It's actually crazy. I didn't realize how much happened in Ohio until I moved to California and made a point to "point it out" to my fiance who is from San Diego. Now that we live back in Cincinnati he's always pointing it out to me now.

It has never made sense to me either. I've never been able to wrap my mind around the fact that we KNOW we have THIS life NOW, but they purposely make it as dull and difficult as possible in the HOPE that there is something better afterward. Why not just make the life you know you have better NOW? It is insane to me.
I used to work in a small town gas station/convenience store in Kentucky and Amish people used to come in pretty frequently, especially during the warmer months. They were always riding in a van being driven by a non-Amish man.
The men were usually quite... standoffish. For example, instead of handing me their money they always threw it onto the counter and made me pick it up. I'll never forget one particularly rude man that always rubbed me the wrong way. He just emanated an aura of rude asshole. One day he counted out his money while I held out my hand for him to give it to me. Instead, he dropped it onto the counter, a huge handful of change, and made me stand there and pick it all up.
So when it was time for me to hand him back his change and he held his hand out for me to hand it to him, I dropped it onto the counter for him to pick up. You could tell he was shocked and pissed that a "lowly woman" dared to give him a taste of his own medicine.
We had a terrible snow and ice storm earlier this year that left everyone without power for 14 days. The first time I was able to get out of the house in over two weeks, I got behind a horse and buggy with a man and a woman and a newborn baby cruising down the road. It was literally barely above zero degrees F and here they had this probably only weeks-old infant wrapped in a single blanket in the back of a buggy. Poor kid.

Live & let live. The family that built my exterior storage shed is Amish. They were very polite & kind. I live in rural NC.
