That’s true, but to me as a consumer I also kind of put the weight on me to choose good venues. Like a few bars in my city just have hecklers, and in a way if you have that kind of relative predictability u can choose ur night

TheInkinJapan it doesnt matter! Your a dumb POS to yell up and heckle for any reason. Its stupid ignorant disrespectful espeically if they are trying to film it for a special. 99.9% of comedians will tell you how much they hate the and what pieces of sheet they are

@TheInkinJapan Stop speaking for other comics when you clearly don't know shit about comedy.
Hecklers are NEVER a "valued" part of the show. Literally every comedian hates hecklers, even the ones that do crowdwork.
Crowdwork is different than an entitled piece of shit interrupting an entire show even though they paid the same amount of money as everybody else.
Also they hate having to edit their shows or include edited versions. Any performer just wants to put on a good show and then get the fuck out, and hecklers are usually drunk people who aren't funny and are nothing but attention whores. Obviously comics are attention whores too but at least they have talent.

Heckling is one thing and going on someone’s stage is something totally different. All the people in the comments telling him to move on need to STFU! That’s like telling Dimebag Darrell to move on.

It is crazy to me that people are all about the heckler. When I go to a show, I want to hear the performer not people in the crowd. It is also a different level to go onto the stage! I don't love the way Bobby handled it but it's still crazy that she is getting a pass.

You heckle you open yourself for ANY COMMENT BACK, no matter how harsh. They haven't picked on you, you have invited it upon yourself. Coming on stage? This is how murders happen, look at Dimebag Darrel. You come on stage you should at least be banned from the club forever.
Also- insulting someone's passion is _far_ worse than some comment about someone's physical appearance. Far, far more insulting and hurtful.

    • @barodrinksbeer7484

people commenting on bobby being hurt by this are forgetting that his initial reaction was fear of loss of his GF or a loved one. him telling you this story shows that he has a sense of humour about it and even laughs about the women's joke but the most important detail about this whole thing is that he is immediately vulnerable because of his love for his lady, and the prospect of losing her, and he even laughs a bit as he should have known something was up when she handed him a phone from the 80s but i don't think he even looked at the phone until the fear had already taken over.

I've been to a few comedy shows in my life and the worst one I went to was steve-o in San Antonio (his performance was good so dont get pissy just yet), it was his first time on the road I think. Either way the entire show was a mess and it was not his fault, in the beginning of the show it was announced that no one should record or take pictures during the show, what ends up happening is people in the front row were caught doing this and Steve-o got pissed took the phone and made sure the guy deleted it after the show. The second thing was some drunk asshole started yelling about personal info of his body parts then proceeded to jump on stage with steve-o. Steve-o handled that fairly well, but the guy was then immediately escorted out of the venue. After the show when I was walking out the guy was arrested and talking to police. I also saw Segura 2 years ago and he just ignored the hecklers. Thing is these are their jobs, people pay to go listen and have a good laugh, it ruins the fun and moment when dipshits feel entitled to be heard or acknowledged. I agree that there should be staff who calm down the situation immediately or remove them without it being a big deal. Yes it's great to see comics shutdown hecklers but it takes away from their time on stage and loses their train of thought. All in all when going to show just remember sit down, shut the fuck up, and let comedians do their job.

Ya in this day and age with the other events that happen I understand it's got to be scary when one person in a crowd stands up and then has the audacity to go on stage. You just never know why or what is going on in their head. Your right Bobby any other event those people get tackled like like a running back by security because you nobody knows if you got a prankster or someone who has bad intentions towards you or just people in general. This person is lucky that they didn't get tazed or worse because it is what it is. If you just want to yell something just yell don't get extra stupid.

Yes, She is right Kylyla . There needs to be like an "Operations" person who intervenes but skilled in many areas to keep the show moving. That ops person is always studying the Climate each night if the club. That intell is taken to study the culture of the club. Each club has its own culture. This will help the comic and owners manage the scene at the Club. You know Bobby so much about comedy club culture. You should write a serious book about this.... Amazing. It's like what the movie King of Comedy did for me to learn about comic culture. Bobby , I say this because no other can tell this story except for you.
