you guys left out the coolest part........in 1971 John Lennon and Yoko Ono put down $200,000 down payment and then changed their minds and decided to settle in NYC, eventually ending up at the Dakota, and the rest as they say, is history.

Another home I worked in during my days with AT&T. If I recall, the home was modeled after The White House in Washington D.C. in hopes a president may stay there. I can't remember if any ever did. When I was there, the home was recently purchased by the wife of the surgeon that supposedly redid Phylis Dilller. A decorator show house was held there benefitting the Coyote Point Jr. Museum. I took care of the phones for some of the decorators and was able to tour the home during the show, having received complementary tickets. Quite the place, for sure!
