      It's something that we need to share more of. So much of social media is "look at this successful project that I did perfectly first try" while they skip over the hours of problem solving and missteps - not maliciously, but because it's "not engaging" - that it makes failure seem like an exceptional outcome rather than the expected one.

    From my experience with peppers you'd usually want to cut off most if not all of the early flowers to allow for more foliage growth, typically if you let the early flowers fruit the plant growth will be a bit stunted and you'll have a smaller lower quality harvest, or in some cases a dead plant.

    - Lack of one or more mobile nutrients. You can tell because the plant is pulling them out of the older leaves to continue growth.

      @@kimjungunbhujiyawala3615 this plant was grown indoors, so the climate wasn't likely the issue. The light seems dim but adequate. The soil is obviously just peat moss, which has no nutrients and very poor structure. The leaves turning brown like that appears to be a nutrient deficiency, possibly from inappropriate pH. Peat moss is typically too acidic without amendment for most plants.

    • @JPATEL98
      @JPATEL98 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It's not just the sun and the water. You also need to check if there's any bacteria or any virus that's eating the plant. Adding in fertilizers is very important as well for the growth. The soil needs to be soft and not squeezed. Don't throw away banana peels instead cut it in half and put them in normal water (200 ml) for a day, now you can use that water as fertilizer.

    Your plants are growing tall fast and the leaves up top are what it's trying to save, that and they are fruting too early, a lower light in their earlier stages will help. Also trimm some of the early flowers/fruits off so it has a chance to grow strong before it produces. If you are feeding them and you should be, try a blend to pormote foilage and strong growth as opposed to fruiting nutrient blends which can come in later.

    It almost made me tear up, seeing the sad part getting attention too.

    Do you know what went wrong? Was it just seeds that weren't great? I'd be keen to know what lessons you got along the way and how it's made you a better grower and/or filmmaker 😊

    It has to be those clay pots. They wick sooo much water away from the plant. In nature plants are not watered every other day, they can go a week without rain or water. So you need to water the soil thoroughly enough to span at-least 4-5 days.

    I don't think it was Edema that killed the Yellow Bell Pepper - it looks like thrips to me. I've grown bell peppers under lights before and when I had a thrip infestation that's exactly what it looked like and how the plant behaved. Lots of neem oil has finally brought it under control with my houseplants but the peppers didn't make it.

    oh dang, i didn't know that some timelapses fail. i mean i expected not all to succeed but these are plants i never saw on your channel. did you give up on those plants after the fail or did i just not see the video? also how many timelapses do you run on average at a time?

      I gave up on them, probably will try again later at some point. I try to keep between 25-30 going at the same time

    You should do a timelapse of bamboo next to another plant to show off its blazing speed.

    You may want to shake the plants to pollinate as well as fertilize after the leafs grow. You seem to run out of potassium and phosphorus in each grow later on with the peppers
