I did not buy much music during the 70’s, so many of these songs I never heard. Only heard what the radio stations played. Never realized how prolific they were in writing and performing music. Few entertainers leave this kind of legacy.
ABBA are such a timeless band, that their songs hold up remarkably well today. The "Mamma Mia" movies have arguably helped in introducing a new generation to their hit songs! 🎤🎶❣️
Thanks for putting this together for us. I will be the first to admit that I was a bit disappointed in Voyage because I was hoping for another Dancing Queen or SOS or something closer to their heyday. But after hearing their collective work one after another, Voyage fits right in as a natural progression of their songs. Now, after listening to the album a few times, they have grown on me, especially when You Danced With Me and Keep An Eye On Dan.
I thought exactly the same when I first heard it I was thinking it would have some disco type songs something upbeat and it’s more like there last 2 albums but it’s still definitely an Abba album I’m glad they didn’t try to fit in with todays chart music if you didn’t know they broke up you could easily think this album was released straight after the visitors in the 80s
I believe that as grown ups they have written lyrics that reflect their lives as of today. It wouldn’t make sense to have made songs to fit with today’s music. They kept true to themselves as they always did. The sad part of this is that Voyage is their last album for good.
I don't agree in part "Don't shut me down" is 10 pts, a masterpiece, as S.O.S. Dancing Queen or Waterloo and all album "Voyage" is 7/8 pts only behind "Arrival" & "The Album" ABBA comesback at high level
Thanks for doing this. Many of us thought The Day Before You Came would be the last song they recorded, but now we have a whole new album. And it’s great!
Dancin Queen. ❤( my favorite) Knowing Me knowing you. Lay All Your Love on Me. ❤Fernando. Waterloo. Thankyou For The Music. Summer Night City. Super Trouper. Winner Takes It All ❤. And I missed a few other favs. But -Oh yes they will be around and loved. Poor Sweden today. Bring back this greatness.
I grew up with every single of Abba's songs since I was 5 years old. They are each one is great song and really unforgettable. Until now they are still my best favourite ever and made the musician in me. Thank you for the music, Abba. ❤❤❤❤❤
There are so many one-hit-groups, aren´t there? If compared with ABBA, how many songs composed by Benny and Björn could you listen to (with a piece of joy) today? Out of those 111, maybe 70%. Maybe even more? It is absolutely ingenious. Very likely thanks to a lucky combination of some unique factors (voices, appearance, etc.). Some of their works are almost half a century old and have not become obsolete (well, some of them have, however, just a few). I would wonder how many songs of current pop scene (hits of today), will be sung and on-air in 2060´s. Maybe those of the Voyage album, simply ABBA again. I´ve got no other candidates in my mind. What about you? 🙂

One of my aunts introduced me to ABBA when I was little, and I grew up listening to their music with some regularity. I am both thrilled, and a little emotional hearing their new Album now. Pretty much quite right.
ABBA music will never go out of style
