Born in 1902. That man came from the horse and buggy days to a modern jet liner cruising at 37,000 feet in the 1990's...God Bless Him. Apparently, he was a wireless operator with morse code at one time in his life.

Awesome job. Very lucky to have docs on the plane. There was a similar story where a man had a bleed on the lung and they asked if there was a doctor on the plane. About 100 hands went up. There were a load of senior doctors going to a convention. 2 of the British docs were actually lung specialists! They operated on the patient with clingfilm and a wire coat hanger!
That old man in this story was so lucky. As soon as I heard the old man speaking I knew he was Welsh under the Yorkshire accent!

Also shows another example of us Brits and the Americans loving each other. There's a special bond between our nations

I've been a first aider for 22yrs & I'm training to become a physician assistant. This is one of the things you have to be ready for, but you hope you'll never have to do! It can so easily go wrong, but by it's very nature, this is one of the things you have to do as a last resort when the heimlich maneuver doesn't work. This is every medics worst nightmare because of how easily it can go wrong, no matter how well trained you are. These guys did such an awesome job!

📍This is an amazing episode! Thank goodness for those two doctors on board the airplane. Then to see them at the end, a very sweet elderly couple been together for 44 years they said. 💞 They seemed so happy.. R.I.P. 🙏 What he said at the end is how I have always Been & I thought I was the only one that thought that way for awhile.. about the last word always being ‘I love you’❣️With Everyone in my family I always make sure to say “I love you”, and then hang up the phone or leave. If anyone happens to say bye, then I have to redo the whole thing. 🤦‍♀️ Now with my six year old son I do the same thing, so like.. “ I love you.. have a good day...see you later ...love you..” I’m glad I do I’ve had family members pass away and I’m very glad the last thing I said was “I love you” Just last week My uncle passed away from a massive heart attack so this really hit close. I’m still in shock and believe when we have the service it will hit.. I’m very worried about my 93 yr old grandmother and my mother and don’t know what to do.. I’ve been avoiding it and just thinking what needs to be done.. he lives in Toronto and we are in Florida so his children are going to bring him down after he’s...ready.. sorry.. can’t say it.. anyhow.. great episode.. thank goodness for the Doctors..
Always tell your loved ones that you love them..
    Stay safe everyone..❤️☮️💙☯️❤️✝️💙

My dad's ⌚ has the logo of a Swiss Army knife. NEVER EVER eat your food in large pieces at all. Choking occurs and it's important that you MUST cut your food in small pieces with knives that are made special for cutting it into teensy weensy pieces at all times. NEVER EVER use knives for stabbing.

An emergency tracheotomy is one of the worst situations someone can find themselves in. You can train for 20 years and it's still nearly impossible to perform perfectly

I was so hungry afterwords that mom made me venison chops before she left for an errand ( I shot that deer myself). While I was busy snarfing down the venison a piece got lodged in my throat. Terrified, I could not dislodge the piece, I started to get dizzy. Then I remembered that I can't brush my tongue because it gives me a gag reflex.

@melodie973 CBS was behind in the ratings in the 1994-1995 season, so they cancelled a bunch of their old shows to try out new ones. Rescue 911 was one of the shows that got cancelled.

In a situation where a man's life depends on every second not to be wasted, a wrong move like being handed a plastic knife can mean a second closer to him dying.

@bluesy92 most airlines have a doctor's kit on board which has scalpels, stitching tools bandages etc. They are usually sealed and accessible only to the cabin crew.

I can't believe that someone would let someone bring a KNIFE on board an air plane. That would be so dangouros because someone would probally would not do anything with it, but you never know.
