  • Very nice kit, highly recommended. It reminds me of a good value Tamiya from the mid-2000s but with link to link tracks and photo-etch.

Just building this kit right now..... fantastic kit. I do like the new, later Academy kits. I've built the pz ii, pz iii, pziv and Stug IV. They are tremendous.

These recent Academy kits are fantastic. I'm glad you liked it and thanks for sharing. The molded on tool clamps look nice as well.

I actually tracked down another one on E-bay to build a late Daimler Benz version in Berlin in May 1945.

Always enjoyed academy kits and felt they offer great bang for your buck. The newer kits (such as this) are excellent..e.g. their M1 tusk you get some much more for less money...Tamiya could learn a lot from this approach

I love Tamiya but they really could make a few tiny improvements (pho-etch and grab handles) and they would unbeatable. Take care buddy!

I tried model master glue and it worked on photo etched parts

Eduards PE sets nice addition to this kit, I'd have to change them tracks out though I'd never be satisfied with that I'd probably just use it as a practice weathering tank but I have boxes of white metal tracks for various kits in my stash tujnkni have about 4 boxes of panther tracks them fruils but plus models are nice too for half the price! Airfix will be releasing this kit soon if not already maybe they will have sorted the tracks out like the small changes in there hetzer rebox

I’m just too damn cheap anymore to spend the cost of another kit in Fruil tracks as much as I love them. Take care man and thanks for watching.

@@ScaleModelAlberta haha, got one thing I hate is bad tracks! I have a 3 teir plastic tool storage thing bottom large drawers full of horrid rubber bands Md old Academy tracks from like the leopards n that but there still link n length but definitely see the difference in the detail and how sharp they are to kits now! I don't especially like friul tracks I love good link n length better at times fruils not worth the 30 quid but that model masters I think it is do really nice white metal tracks for 15 to 20 bucks I just hate the filing and drilling out for that price they could really be done for you! And they snap easy as heck! Panzers and m18 hellcats were the worst for the ends bending and snapping when drilling!

What do you think is the worst 1/35th scale tank you’ve ever built

Had to think about that for a while. The Hobby Boss South African Oliphant was bad, the Takom T-14 Armada tracks were a nightmare as were the Takom Object 279, probably a toss-up between the Bronco ZTZ-99 or the Mini-Art SU-76 with the Mini-Art getting the win by a hair. The worst model kit of all time is easily the AMT Romulan War Bird, two of which were struck with federation torpedos before they were complete. My son thought it would be a nice Christmas gift, so I have a third sitting in the stash...
