- Got the chance to attend the PPRAA MegaFest again this year back in its old location at the High School in Monument, CO. They had a Fox Hunt, VE Session, and a Scout Radio Merit Badge event as well as all the booths and people selling their items. I purchased about 160 raffle tickets in hopes of getting one of the great prizes so let’s see how it went.
I was there, think I saw myself a couple times in this video as you were walking around filming.
Wish I would’ve known that was going on, definitely would’ve stopped by !!!🤷🏼♂️🤔🧐😎
@@fastmxracer8934 yeah not sure how else to get the word out. They announced it weekly on all the popular repeater networks COLCON, CRA, MARC, & CMRG. If you are a member or join one of the local clubs there are announcement’s at meetings as well. I believe there is another coming up in the Denver area soon. Ham-Solo K0FYR
Have made numerous Monument Swaps in the past, plus the Pueblo one last year. I think I saw AA0JD, and did see WV7T in this video. Thanks for making this! 73 de n0km
I am going to be heading out to Colorado Springs for the balloon festival at the end of the month. What is the best reference for local frequencies? Thanks
@@billk9636 for the Springs a lot of locals use 146.460 simplex and then there are two major repeaters which are the Colorado Connection on 145.130 -600 KHz and an input tone of 88.5 and then the Cheyenne Mountain Repeater Group on 147.345 -600KHz and a tone of 107.2 and lastly the Colorado Repeater Association on 145.160 -600KHz and tones of 107.2. That will be covering all of Colorado Springs with those. Ham-Solo K0FYR
