Bouws was one if my favorite dmen even before he wore the note. I read alot abt him when he was drafted and I was stoked he cld finally be on a playoff team. He was so solid on thetop pair w petro. It was crazy be i remember how bouws became yhe whipping boy of the team when we wld not go deep in the playoffs. It was hilarious bc peteo bouws was a d pair on TEAM CANADA, and some of our fellow blues fans were hard on him. Anyway So awesome he won a cup before he retired, esp since he had that health issue /scary moment when he collapsed on the ice. love bouws and I still wear my bouwmeester jersey in the rotation. Stanley cup champion Jay Bouwmeester!
