(G)I-dle's stage performances are often impressive... they have have a thing for theatrical presentation on stage. You should probably check out some of their other big stage performances. Particularly some of their stages on Queendom. I know you watched the original performance of "Lion" from queendom. You might have thought that was a one-off thing, but... no. I mean, sort of, but... That kind of grand performance is very much characteristic of them.

That operatic part is Habanera from opera Carmen by French composer Bizet. Melody inspired by it is also used in Nxde Soyeon opening and the violin instrumental in the chorus. Including the actual part of Habanera in this performance was a nice way by Soyeon to pay homage to the original!
I was going to say the same thing. When most groups sample a piece of music for their song they will pay "lip service" to the original. (G)I-dle included the original as part of the show.
