It's an old singer trick, to make youfeel the blood rush to the front of your head, and force that high sound. So once you "feel" that sound, it's easier to replicateit again. Note Miyeon hits it immediately, because she hasd way more experience at singing and hitting that sound.
@Jneedstostopobssessing yeah, I saw that. Katrina is awesome. Also, the way my jaw dropped when Katrina said that Yuqi was still singing from her throat when Soyeon was showing that bending trick at damn near the same time that Soyeon tells Yuqi that she's still singing from her neck 😮
Soyeon directing is amazing, and what makes her even more amazing is because she knows all her members strengths and weaknesses and how to utilize them.
As far as vocal lessons for Soyeon, I'm not entirely sure. Back in Produce 101 days, she only wanted to be a rapper but was complimented on quitting rap to be a vocalist. Proves that Soyeon could always sing well. The only thing I do I know is that she did take song writing lessons and didn't intend on being the primary writer for the group. Another fact is that she refused to have the group take vocal lessons to focus on their own individual voice and utilize it in what we hear now. Rather than losing their unique individual voices, Soyeon became their very own "Vocal coach" in what we see in their "Behind the recordings." Soyeon's impressive knowledge to coach is something I'm also amazed with and question if she has taken vocal lessons. Although the group did momentarily take lessons before opting out, I'd assume that Soyeon picked up a bit of terms and techniques that she uses on her own. I'd also like to say, the one song I'd like to see "behind the recording" for is "Fate" or also "Wife" as you meantioned. I'd love to see how Soyeon directs/coaches Shu and Miyeon for their rap parts! Thank you for your reaction! I love love love it so much 🥰
@CJDM310 "in my opinion you should continue singing" is basically implying so. But then again we all interpret things in our own ways so yes you're correct that they didn't tell her to quit. I'm just wrong and assuming. My bad. 👍
I think Soyeon was the longest trainee more than other members. I am sure she got all basic vocal training but she'd still found that she can do it by herself to pull the vocal that is her style, So she told Minnie to find out her vocal by herself. She said if they use the same technique their vocals may be too similar. And there will be no specific vocals in their own voice.
Hi please react also to philippine girl group G22 "boomerang" they have good strong vocal voice thank you😊 Other songs Bang and babalik on wish bus, all their wish bus live are veey good
