Tractor Restoration - Generator Rebuild Part 2

We "Rebuilt" a 12 Volt generator from a 460 International Tractor with a 221 engine. After tearing the generator down we gave it a good cleaning and checked the connections. We did not need to replace any of the parts. The generator is now on the tractor and functions perfectly.

Shade tree repairs. Not a rebuild in any form and should only be done for a "quickie" patch.

The sander is a really bad idea, i would use a drill press or lathe to spin the armature and use a fine emory paper to clean it off. you dont want to make the armature out of balance. Use lathe to even out the commutator if need be, but emory to just clean it. And be careful not to mare the shaft.
