- I'm Beginning EVERY Kingdom Hearts Platinum! Can I beat KH1 in one run? This means proud mode, no equipment changes (can't use new keyblades), no using continue after dying, and beating the game in under 15 hours...
This challenge was almost impossible for someone who does NOT speedrun this game! I had to use new strategies I've never used before. This is the first in a new series where I will complete every Kingdom Hearts game so I hope you enjoy this first challenge video! If you have any feedback, please let me know.
Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories will be my next KH plat but I won't have a dedicated video for it. Instead Kingdom Hearts 2 will have a dedicated video most likely and RE:CoM will be part of the series video when it's done.

You’re a damn legend man, proud no changing equipment and speedrun is a nightmare even speedrunners fear to this day, and no continue makes it way more annoying
I had to watch speedruns to be able to do this. I can confidently say they are a lot better at this game than me
I quit trying to platinum Kingdom Hearts. Luckily, I got the trophies for beating the game in under 15 hours, without using a continue, and without changing the equipment

The ultimate weapon grind in kh1 was almost what made me quit but I did but the truly annoying KH platinum was recom was more hell to do then kh1

Kingdom Hearts was actually the first game i was introduced to as a kid by my siblings and since then its been my favorite series. Felt so much nostalgia watching you platinum this and i’m looking forward to the rest of the series.

@@christopherfu2169BBS takes the most time out of any KH game to platinum. You have to play the game to 100% three times so that means a lot of grinding commands & repeating the same few minigames.

ive been waiting for this...also i already have the 1st kh game platinum and heres a tip for speedster: if u wait until the timer hits 99:99:99 itll reset back to 00:00:00(and also change color) so u can reattempt speedster(i used that trick to get this in 1 playthru)

Mad props for doing everything on Proud mode! KH1 Proud mode is tough as is, but no deaths & no equipment changes... sheesh. GL with the rest of the series; I personally only have KH2 & KH3 plats, but maybe one day I'll go for the rest 😅

great for you dude i recently got the kingdom of hearts series on steam and i agree with everyone thats says its hard as hell i have played the game for 16 hours now and i had gotten only 11 trophies this is where my entire summer is going good luck in your journey
im playing on steam as well, but on steam we have to platinum all 6 games (kh 1.5+2.5) to count as 1 lol

Good luck. I recently finished all KH platinum with 3 last. But I did KH2, finished the game and wanted to do veteran first then all collectibles and secret bosses but I accidently overwrote my save file…. I was so devastated that I continiued two years later 😂

I also went for the platinum before and unchanging armor on proud mode was a pain so I feel the pain you also had and also great video!

I just finished the same thing, minus MoM, and honestly it was a commitment. Re:CoM and BBS were definitely the longest grinds to do but the feeling afterwards is always worth it

I’m actually platinuming every kh game it’s my favorite series so I gave it a shot. Only have one game left that being khrecom.
I was platiniuming CoM and overwriting the save was like a muscle memory while grinding Sora to 100 and getting all the enemy cards. Strated Riku playthrough, immediately at the first save point overwrote the Sora save, losing everything.
Haven't touched the game since.
Love the new thumbnail, worth the risk.

I understand your pain with Proud mode guard armor, even with being able to use armor I still had to use EXP Zero just to beat him in proud mode

Don't worry about Chernabog, on my run on easy (ps3 version, so not stackable trophies) without changing armor, it took me hours to beat Chernabog, while on Proud it was only a matter of minutes

I got the platinum for the first kingdom hearts this year finally. It was beating sephiroth that held me up the most. And after one more play through on proud and that platinum was all mine

Great job on beating the game with all the restrictions at once, that’s a feat not many can say they’ve done. Now comes the real grind for the platinum. Firstly, grab a guide and get all 99 missing dalmatians, trinity marks, and torn pages. Getting all the trinity marks is required for journal completion, as is the torn pages (for the 100 acre wood) and the dalmatians. However, once you get all 99 puppies, you’ll get aerora upgraded to aeroga. This will be CRUCIAL for some of the bosses to come, as they hit extremely hard and fast, and can potentially slice your health down to zero in 2-3 hits. From here, I’d recommend breaking up the grind with two secret bosses: Kurt Zisa (in Agrabah) and the Phantom (in Neverland). The Phantom’s straightforward: he’ll cast a spell on you that will kill you when the clock strikes midnight. However, when you can cast stop on the clock, this is more of an annoyance than anything. Otherwise, his gimmick is that his body changes colors to signal his specific weakness. When he’s white, strike him with physical attacks. When he’s red, yellow, or blue, strike with fire, thunder, or blizzard. If you load up on magic-boosting items and accessories and a magic-focused keyblade before the fight, he’s a pushover. Kurt’s big deal is that he’ll take away your magic at the beginning of the fight until you destroy two orbs it holds. Good news is that you have a second to cast Aeroga before he silences you. Other than that, his attacks have a wide area of effect, but are very telegraphed, so learning his moves isn’t too hard. Focus on boosting your strength as much as possible here, and he should go down pretty easily. Now comes part 2 of the grind. You’ll shoot for two things here: levels and the Ultima Weapon. I’d recommend going for level 100 here, as it’ll make the coming gauntlet easier, but you’ll at least want two major abilities: Second Chance and Once More. These will greatly increase your survivability, as it gives you one extra hit, no matter the damage of the attack. You’ll also want to go through the grind and clean up all the synthesis recipes here as well, as the Ultima Weapon is very nice, and the extra staff and shield is alright. From here, you’ll want to know that Donald and Goofy will be near worthless, so hoard all your good equipment for yourself. The Hades Cup and Mysterious Figure will slice them to pieces, and you’ll be going alone for the Hades Cup solo, Ice Titan, and Sephiroth. Now that you have these, I’d recommend shooting for the Hades Cup now. It’s fifty waves of extremely tough enemies, including a few unique bosses, and you can’t rely on any summons to succeed. Good news is, with a high enough level and the Ultima Weapon, it won’t be too difficult. From here, you’ll need to redo the Hades Cup two more times, once as a solo run and another as a time trial. These’ll give you Save the Queen and Save the King, respectively. An important tip to know is that when you die in a Colosseum battle, you won’t get your items back, so I’d recommend keeping a save in the vestibule and reloading that, instead of having to grind for more elixirs and megalixirs. The Gold Match unlocks once you beat the Hades Cup for the first time, and you’ll face off with the Ice Titan solo. The Ice Titan’s fight revolves around deflecting the icicles he casts at you to open him for attack. Whatever you do, DON’T CAST AEROGA in this fight. It’ll make the icicles undeflectable, making things far more difficult. My recommendation for this fight is to throw down graviga whenever the icicles let up, and when you see the Titan hunch down after 1/3 and 2/3 of his health is down, wail on him with your keyblade. Now there are only two beasts left in your way: the Mysterious Figure and Sephiroth. The Mysterious Figure can be found where you fought Dragon Maleficent, and Sephiroth is in the Platinum Match of the Colosseum. These two are no joke, and will mess you up if you give them the chance. All I can say is to load up on elixirs, and read a guide, as these two have a lot to them. Overall, I found the Mysterious Figure to be difficult, but pretty cheesable with magic and summons. Sephiroth, on the other hand, blocks all magic attacks, and the Colusseum blocks summons. There’s a reason why this incarnation of the one-winged angel still appears on “hardest bosses of all time” lists, and it’ll probably take you a while to best him. From here, it’s smooth sailing. I didn’t touch on a few things, such as the gummi missions and blueprints, but they can be done anytime and aren’t too difficult. Good luck, this platinum is definitely one of the more difficult ones in the series.
Or just grind for an hour and a half in the gizmo shop to get to level 100 easily and just be stronger than the superbosses

KH is a legendary PS2 game, gl with the plat 3PG !
As someone who’s got the Platinums on KH1, Chain of Memories, KH2 (PS3 and PS4), Birth by Sleep and KH3, always great to see people play through the series.
Also, in case anyone’s wonder, KH3 is the easiest and Birth by Sleep is by far the hardest and I highly recommend you DO NOT do everything on Critical. The endgame secret bosses do not play around. So no spoilers but they’re is 1 particular boss that is completely unfair. Also you have to do everything (Minus perfecting the “Ice Cream Beat” mini game, no spoilers) 3 times. Once each.
Don’t get me wrong, the game is probably my 3rd favorite in the series. But it’s definitely going to test your patience.
I’ve only done KH1 and KH2. In the middle of Re:CoM now and redoing 1 and 2 for videos
KH3 is definitely the easiest to platinum, unless you're looking to get the 100% because the DLC trophies are much harder. BBS is the hardest I agree.
I remember when the difficulties didn’t stack when you had to platinum kingdom hearts on the ps3. You had to play it 3 more times. As someone who has beaten the secret bosses on critical mode in bbs I told myself o would never put myself through that kind of torture again.
@@buddydew101 Yeah, I have no idea why they didn’t stack for PS3 KH1. Not only that but you had to beat every single gummi ship mission on ps3 for the Gummi Ship Collector Trophy. Whereas as the PS4 version you can just talk to Gepeto a bunch of times for most of the models.
And yes the secret bosses for BBS on Critical are no joke.

Dude! I didnt know stop worked on the bosses! You can reconfigure Donald's spells. Meaning.... you can make him prioritize soells like aero and stop. And ignore the other's. Imma have to do that when i come back to this game!

it took me until 2017 to finally try Proud Mode and get the KH1 Plat. I just beat Proud Mode again a few days ago and only died 24 times this time!
I recently platinumed kh1 and did all the superbosses and max level on proud while doing unchanging armour and the keyblade on beginner i swear that proud was easier than beginner

Honestly doing the hardest difficulty right out the jump is insane too me since I did everything on easy and then speed ran through the game on the hardest difficulty with everything equipped

I got the platinum trophy on ps3 , took me like 110 hours. It was such a grind, has to be my proudest platinums
I only played this game for the first time about 5 years ago on ps3. I thought I'd try and Platinum it but didn't look at the trophy list so I started on proud as I knew there were difficulty trophies. Beat the game and was so exited I had knocked out all the difficulty trophies.... until only the proud trophy popped. As soon as I saw the difficulty trophies didn't stack, I rage quit and haven't touched the game since and i only started of memories before I dropped that too out pure frustration.
I think I'm over it enough to give it another chance. Maybe.
Mad respect for getting all those trophies on proud mode.
They stack on PS4 if that makes you feel better? Trophies were in their infancy when it was ported to PS3, so they were all much harder in all games.

When in doubt, channel wind chakra and summon Mushu 👌
Go in customize and set them up so hp and mp items are on emergency. And defence stuff on constantly and everything else on occasionally have fun

Just a warning, Re:CoM, BBS and MoM are the most tidious plaitinums to get. The rest of the series is fun to platinum, with the KH3 DLC having the rarest and most rewarding achievement to get.
You can actually comeback in the winnie the poo save point after beating the demon. You have to glide up until it load the above section XD
