This ally system has a lot of promise. At first, I thought the ally's power up would be too good for the winner, but considering that they only last for three turns and can be stolen, allys here will be both fair and chaotic.
Daisy also has a jamboree ability too. She has the ability to let you purchase any items at half the price they would normally cost, so if you bought a custom dice block for example, instead of paying 12 coins, you pay just 6 coins. The advantage you get when you play her minigame is that you start with her giving you 3 red medals, which is 9 points.
To note on the whole 2 stars thing, it seems that everything is doubled. You also gain double coins on blue spaces, and also lose double coins on red ones. I'm not sure how it affects items tho.
If the 8-Player Mode from Mario Party 7 is included as a form of board play, then I think that it should have the same pros and cons that having an ally has, while also taking a book out of Mario Party 3's Duel Mode where teams can get into fights with each other on the board and make each other drop an amount of coins from the fights.
I'm not a fan of the whole trade the buddy when you pass mechanic, it just means that 2 people can trade them back and forth and none of them will get the roll ability
Yeah, I don’t get why we need the tediously long mini game to battle for the ally? Just have the 1st person who comes by the ally use their perks. It only lasts 3 turns anyway & other players can steal it by just moving past you. I love the speed up improvements & extra boards/characters in these newer versions, but I’ll always miss the partner party option, character custom dice blocks & the ally collection components
Big spoon i think going be 30 turns for max turns because now dice is up 10 and don’t have characters special dice and cost 50 coin steal star and stickers from Mario party superstar i think super Mario party jamboree be alike Mario party superstar
Jamboree is a mix of all the best features we've seen in mario party games but also with a few new ones too. This seems like it'll be the best mario party game since mario party 7 (superstars was amazing too)
Wait, so even if you get to the ally first, an opponent could still get them because of the mini-game... Yeah, I'm going to stick to chasing the star. I'm glad that allies are back, but poorly implimented to get them. Advantage or not, its still not really good.
There seems to be a progression system like in Mario Party Star Rush on the 3DS. I'm thinking the boards are unlocked through the progression system as you level up and collect points. I think as you reach higher levels, new things are unlocked
Apparently it takes 90 minutes for a 10 round game according to information I've seen and heard about. So that's pretty shocking considering that a 10 round game in Super Mario Party took approximately 60 minutes. If this is the case, I'd say maybe 30 rounds max. But I hope they give the option for 50 rounds like they used to do in the early mario party games
Pauline, Ninji, 8 players mode, 20 player mode, flying mode, 5 new boards, 110 mini games, if that is not enough for you then idk what else do you need
I would have thought the same thing when the Japanese website came out, but I think this is balanced. The likelihood that somebody will be able to grab 2 stars will be really low. The buddy will only stick around for 3 turns, and they can be stolen. It’s pure Mario Party chaos and I am totally here for it.

It's like she really wants you to win after doing that
I think every jamboree allie has their abilities
This is by far the worst ability that we’ve seen
It's a reference to the cellular shopper.
I think in conjuction where I think a general buddy ability is that you can buy 2 items at one turn means the ability is stacked up.
My god… I freaking LOVE this. SO CREATIVE!!!

If they bring back mp7’s 8 player mode, I feel like the leading player will get the buddy. Whatever happens to the lead will happen to the sidekick.
3:07 It’s actually you only have three turns to get them, not use them
Oh now this IS interesting...
Based on the wording I think you have 3 turns to reach the buddy on the board, not that they're only your buddy for 3 turns
I think this will ether be great or really annoying. Depends on if Nintendo learned from their mistakes.
This seems quite unique, cant wait to try it
I wonder if Yoshi's minigame is that one where everyone is racing on the back of different color Yoshi's
That would make perfect sense!
It is
It’s to see allies giving boosts besides exclusive dice
Mario Party Jabroni
With the new Jabroni buddy system
I'm not a fan of the whole trade the buddy when you pass mechanic, it just means that 2 people can trade them back and forth and none of them will get the roll ability
New
Mario : add 3 to 8 to dice roll
Waluigi : Steal 3 to 8 coins from opponent you pass
rosalina make you get a cheap item yoshi copy an item from a player

It says you have three turns to get them, but does it say they only last three turns after you get them somewhere or where is that confirmed?
I am so glad they are not as broken as they used to be.
Working hard to win a ally only to have them turn on you’re back very next thing
Big spoon super mirrors is can choose swap characters from space
This has to be the biggest nerf i have ever seen in a video game
Big spoon what you think what turns will unlock in party point in Super Mario

You are supposed to tell us how to lure each specific jamboree buddy. You failed.
I hope we can just turn off this feature

Big spoon we going have 30 turns for max we not going have 20 turns we saw in super Mario party
The ally system sucks, can it be turned off? An opponent got 4 stars in just two dice rolls, its cheap. Not a fan.
Unfortunately it can't be turned off
They take WAY too long.
