    Cheers mate for the glowing review!
    I am going full time in January and I will do a hip carry sheath if asked but 95% of customers ask for a dangler.

    About seven years ago, a good friend acquired a Skookum second hand off EBay. He let me spend a day with it while we were camping in the New York Adirondack mountains. That handle fit my hand like melted butter over hot corn on the cob. It was a dream; but trying to get one of these knives was just impractical for the average outdoor person. Fast forward to about 18 months ago. I discovered Rob's TH-cam channel and found a comfortable and laugh-filled niche to visit. Eventually I bought his Mors Kochanski Tribute knife; what a dreamy blade to work with. But when I saw his vids of the Bushtool, I had to have one. About six months ago I got it; and the butter started melting around the handle again. Brilliant match, and I didn't have to wait ten years. I must admit though...... I'm not sure what I like best; his knife making skills, or the craig I get out of his videos. Sometimes that guy has me laughing like I'm in a Monty Python/Ronnie Barker marathon. If you want a good knife and good laugh..... visit Rob Evans!!! Cheers!

    Hey Trev. Great Video on the knife. A long time ago I bought a knife from Finland called a pukki or something. This knife you have looks so similar, but bigger, defo see the influence. What you have there is a thing of beauty. Worth the wait i would say.

    Thanks for that review! I was wondering which knife style would be better for me, the woodlore or skookum. You helped me to make my decision - I'll go with Mors' knife style.
    After using Mora HD for a few years now, I don't like the long straight part of the edge, because it's a pain to produce decent feathersticks. I definitely prefer to have that curved edge as close to the handle as possible. It's good to know that a serious bushcrafter has similar experience and it's not only my imagination :)

      You could get a Mora Robust, it has that curvy blade you need.
      It is carbon. Like the 510. It has only 91mm, but for most tasks you didn't need more. I find the handle also fantastic, for a 13.-€ knife.
      Oh wait, it costs now 15.- ...
      LOL

    • @thechillcrafter945
      @thechillcrafter945 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@svenschmalfu3093 Ha, but this is exactly what I have now ;) I really like this knife, it's been with me for... I don't know, 10 years? But it falls short when it comes to making shavings. It's a bit irritating that it has this straight bit instead of a belly along the whole length of the blade. It is easier to sharpen, but it is not ideal to work with. Even a slight curve would be better (like on a Mora carving knife).
      But still a great knife to have. Mora robust is very cool, still quite cheap and extremely durable.

    I like the look of that one a lot. Be a good all around bush knife. Pointy enough to actually gut fish, but still beefy enough to make kindling and carve with. Also, I prefer I shorter blade. Never really find myself needing a big knife when you got an axe with ya.
