Phenomenal moment on a phenomenal show. That is all. If you're not watching For All Mankind, you're missing out.

I love the perspective fakeout to trick us into thinking that it's vertical and on a launch pad.

That C5 would have to dive awfully quickly to get out of the way when Pathfinder fired up her engines. Great scene and great show.

I freaking love this series and hope that it continues for another five years! The next hundred years in this series would look something like The Expanse.

Orrr...the expanse is the sequel to All Mankind 🤔

@@xyinterrupted The writers of 'The Expanse' have considered 'The Martian' to be a canon part of their universe. That means FAM can't be the prequel to 'The Expanse' unless they decide to change that.

@@fork9001 nah it can't be canon since FAM has already reached Mars in the 90s, while The Martian's Ares 4 is in the 2030s?

@@evrtt_trn Ask the writers though, it was their choice and their story.

I feel like they reached their target orbit and cut off the main engines, then showed the craft flying with main engine lit a minute later. Did I misunderstand?

The NERVA (nasa nuclear engine design in the 80s) or engine on the back of pathfinder was able to throttle and “engine cutoff” doesn’t always mean out of fuel. They simply had to wait to rendezvous with sea dragon and wait for TLI (trans lunar injection) spot in its orbit.

I went to a museum where they had a shuttle like Pathfinder there. The SCALE of that thing was something I didn't realize was so massive.
