I think dentistry treatments has a lot of failures which makes you unhappy . Patient comes back always .

After shadowing dentists, if the thought of working in the mouth is off-putting then you may need to consider a different career path. You want to be excited about your career.

Do you think having a master in biomedical science or biological science can help to strengthen my application? Please l need your help? Good blessed you for encouraging people. 🙏🏾
Consider the dental schools you're interested in applying to and check their entry requirements. That will inform you on how to strengthen your application. You don't want to do a course only to find out that it doesn't add much to your dental school application.
I heard that after varsity, is not easy to secure a job, instead you must have a business mind so to open a practice. #I am a dentalstudent who's unhappy
Shadow some dentists and ask them questions to help you decide whether there is an area within dentistry you will enjoy. Working as a dentist will be a very different experience compared to studying dentistry as a student.
Dentistry has a better work/life balance after university. While dental school might be harder than medicine, in the long term it's better. I have relatives that are dentists and physicians and it took both of my physician relatives 20 years from beginning of medical school to get their licenses in their specialty. And they said it's definitely not worth the stress, time and sacrifices. I want to do dentistry, but the relatives in their careers both have said to do something else.
It's unlikely that UK dental schools will allow you to transfer from dental technology to the dental course. You can contact the dental schools directly to verify if this is true.
I'm not a people person but I'm already a 3rd year dental student , I don't think that I'm passionate about dentistry, Idk what to do with my life :( should I continue or should I take a break to think again or should I change my career
If you are able to continue and complete the degree it will give you more options. You don't have to limit yourself to clinical dentistry or academia. You could work with companies in the oral health industry or pursue the medico-legal route. You could even use the degree to do something else outside of dentistry. However if it's severely affecting your mental health and overall happiness it would be worth speaking with staff members and family about it.
Hy what did you decided, I am in the same case not passionate with dentistery but I don't have any passion or dream job so I don't know what to do instead. I only worked on fake patient and fake tooth so I kinda liked the art in dentistery but I don't really liked seing people without teeth and stuf like that, not a people person either
Thank you for your video. I am 25, do you think it is too late to start my studies in dentistry? Also, I am kind of grossed when it comes to blood and diverse body health issues, but very exited and interested about teeth particularly, dentistry in the past and acctual trends, watching videos about teeth restauration, different cases before and after videos/pictures, studying xrays from Internet trying to understand what is in there, I also have a dentist mirror and am very curious studying my friends' or my own teeth. Do you think this kind of interest could be a sign that there is a chance that a person can work as a dentist? Many thanks!
A significant number of people older than you start dental school when they decide to have a career change. 25 is not too old at all to start. You will need to speak with dental students and dentists to gain more insight into the career and if you can, organise work experience. This will give you a good indication of whether the career is for you.
Im 31 I’m thinking to do a career change from Business to Dentistry. Right now I do not have people skills but it does not worry me through the course I guess you can learn and develope that
Hi Mbali, Your teeth won't be part of the interview assessment criteria. However if you are looking to become a dentist it would be ideal if you are maintaining good oral health. This shows that you are interested in oral health. Good oral health is not the same as having what some people may perceive as a 'nice smile'.
To whom shall I speak, and give warning, that they may hear? He that has ears to hear, let him hear. Are you saved? Where will you go when you die? Heaven or hell? The one God is a trinity of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. The Son came and laid down his own life to save ours. His sacrifice on the cross paid the price for our redemption with his own blood. On the third day he rose from dead and offers the gift of salvation and forgiveness to those that repent and trust in him. Although God's creation was created perfect, having no death, sickness and disease, the creation became corrupted through Adam and Eve in them disobeying God. In this rebellion the creation became fallen through the curse of sin and mankind became separated from God. This world is fallen, but God offers reconciliation to him through his provision at the cross. Ultimately God will restore his creation to perfection when he returns but those that who reject his offer of redemption will remain condemned by their sins and go to hell.
