  • Small improvisation on the theme of "Careful with that axe, Eugene".
Gear used and signal routing :
FARFISA Compact Duo - DIAMOND Tremolo - BINSON ECHOREC 2 - MXR Carbon Copy - UAD Apollo Twin / Logic pro
For the bass I used the Bass Output of the organ, so it does not go through the Echorec :
Bass Output - Ditto Looper - UAD Apollo Twin / Logic pro
    Have a good trip !

Took us all back momentarily to the famous, iconic 1972 film!

Beautiful, i sincerely think that Rick Wright would not only approve, but also feel proud that you have gone through the efforts to make this.

Can't believe the Farfisa hasn't been reissued! My favorite 60s era organ.

Unfortunately the company changed their business model and now they produce security lock systems, CCTV and video vigilance.
You can find faithful Farfisa sounds in keyboards like Nord Electro / Stage, Korg Nautilus, Numa Organ 2, Crumar Mojo, Yamaha YC, etc. Arturia has an excellent Farfisa VST as well. I am a big fan of its eclectic buzz sound

good job! Why do you use an external tremolo?

      Thanks 😊
I used an external effect because the organ tremolo and repeat does not have such a large playing range. In addition, when I activate it, the sound is greatly increased. A problem that I have to solve, maybe the LDR...

@@fredhervieu You know there's a trimpot under the lid which you can adjust the tremolo depth, right? There's also one for the vibrato speed. The repeat percussion on mine is nowhere near as staccato as Rick's but that's just different components. Someone has an upload on YT where his has the really staccato repeat percussion. I think the trem or repeat increases the volume on mine too. I haven't plugged it in for so long I can't remember!

@@nickhirst999 yes I know this organ well, I restored this one, and I have a second one that I am in the process of repairing. the problem comes from the LDRs or light bulb. I think the ones I put on don't have the right values. on my second compact duo, I don't have this problem. The staccatto is well pronounced and the volume is good. on the other hand I have other problems to solve.
Not easy to have an organ with zero defaults! the joys of vintage ;-)

This was excellent work man! And you played it well along with those effects. Richard Wright sure knew how to use this organ and I really like this Farfisa because of his early work during the Syd Barrett era. Though i can't stand the first album but what Richard did with his organ is what I like. Also, very nice video!
