Ok, apparently the gun can also store under the truck. This was not in the instructions. The instructions show the storage the way I showed it in the vid. I can't always figure out every hidden feature that they don't want to tell me about in the instructions. It is what it is. Thank you :)

In my personal opinion this is the ultimate deluxe optimus. Its g1 for those 80s fans, it has new movie stuff for new fans. And it has almost flawless vehicle and robots modes for all transformers and toy collectors. What not to love about it.

This is such a beautiful figure and the most accurate Optimus Prime movie figure we’ve gotten. This will be my first ever G1 type figure. I get it’s part of movie toyline but come on this B.B. movie Prime model and figure is 95% G1. Now if they announced an OP movie during NYTF 2019. Then the movie franchise will definitely be at it’s “Prime” ;)

Yeah, the robot mode is stunning and more accurate than i would ever expect a voyager retail figure to be. And while the truck isn't the exact model from the movie it still looks amazing and goes the extra mile having a realistic hitch instead of literally just the legs with wheels touching the ground as the back of the truck. really hammers home that he is a robot in disguise.

any G1 design that Travis Knight touches becomes a beautiful, simplistic bot

This would make a good Prime figure given that he combines G1 and actual truck designs but I wish that he'd be much taller. Right now one of my favorites is Beast Hunters Ultimate Optimus Prime despite his hollow plastic.

From the renderings I thought it was going to transform nearly similar to Siege Prime but that was INVOLVED.

It's like they were working on an MP of this figure, had to cancel it, and then decided to take all that lovely engineering and scale it down to a voyager. This thing is amazing. The only kibble issue is the forearms, and even then they're not too bad. I hope I can get this thing soon, I'm worried it's gunna sell out everywhere!
Holy cow. I've been waiting for a really really good figure to get as a display piece and this might be it. Awesome transformation, virtually no backpack, and no fake windows or grill thats hidden in vehicle mode. Love it, ty emgo.

I custom painted mine! Nothing wild, but it looks so good, and the paint helps the legs stay together. The legs are now my favorite part of this guy
A most impressive flat-nosed Optimus Prime indeed. I'm just picturing it grey and rusty, with one set of smokestacks, and with some reconfigurations of the head and abs... and BOOM Evasion Mode Optimus. I reckon that will be in the next wave of SS Transformers.
It's ACTUALLY a very accurate depiction of the truck even the front and back rims being different
I would say thats one of the best primes put out. imo.
I can't decide if I'd rather buy this Optimus or the Siege Optimus. There's things I love about both.

Its obviously reboot because in the bay films, bumblebee was in ww2, before 1980s. But in this one, he arrives in the late 70s early 80s.

As someone who grew up watching G1 because I wasn’t old enough to watch the movies yet (age of extinction hadn’t released but dark of the moon had recently come out) this figure makes me very very happy
This is my favorite movie Optimus so far. It's perfect combination between G1 and the Bayformers movie.

We need a masterpiece of this prime....this ones...."okay"...but not 100% accurate
I bought this figure today and I have the same issue with the tabs on his calves. You move the feet to pose him and everything lets go. Very detailed and I hope they come out with a Leader class version or maybe even a Wei Jiang/Black Mamba (if they haven’t already). Great review as always. You are my go to guy for Transformers. Keep up the great work EmGo!

Great review! This guy looks pretty friggin good. It really looks like the designers gave this toy some thought. I have two questions. When is he expected to hit the shelves? Why have they stopped making trailers? If someone wants to make a 3rd party trailer for this guy, they can have my money. 😁
I think third party Wei jiang or black mamba might have some g1 trailers you can find on eBay or AliExpress but they can take 2 to 4 weeks because most are imported from Asia where they’re made. Or you can check online to see if anyone has em for sale stateside... they exist but you have to look for em... prices will vary
I'd give it 2 years and they'll remake this figure with all of extras like mp10 prime...trailer...axe...matrix of leadership...and...oh yeah...roller!!!

Imagine if one of the bloopers of the Bumblebee movie was Prime trying to throw Bumblebee to Earth, but it doesn't work so Bee uses the escape pod instead.
I would have gotten him, but I would rather have SS-32 and Jetfire. I almost went after him though.
One of the best looking Primes we've seen in a long time. I think this guy will look great next to the forthcoming Perfect Effect Jetpower Revive Prime.

One of my favorite parts of this figure is the forearm swivel. It might seem unnecessary but I wish Kingdom Galvatron had it so you can position the cannon on top of his arm instead of on the side.

personally, 2007 design was the best, and coolest to me.
All movie primes are great for what they are but personally I prefer the 2007 design.

I recently got the WW 2 Bumblebee from TLK, and although the standalone movie seems to have revitalized people's faith in the Bay movies, it sucks that the WW 2 Bumblebee is now obsolete. (Having now seen the whole review) awesome figure. I wonder, to clean up the truck mode, could you store the gun under his legs by just sticking the gun's peg up through the port? Either way, still cool- I can't wait for SS Bumblebee movie Shockwave.
