Reason this doesn’t come off is simple.the microphone is too load,the backing track is too quiet and there is no sound from audience. So kinda comes off as a soulless performance. It’s simply the sound we are listening too is just badly mixed. As vocally think he’s got a great young voice.
I really Like this guy, I find him very genuine, real and not afraid presenting his authentic self ,he also has an amazing voice, unfortunately for me, and maybe its just this video, but I feel little to no energy in this or the crowd for that matter, it just seems something is off. I'm just not feeling it, but I really like Ronan, I think he is an amazing person. I hope this is taken as nothing more than constructive criticism I hope

I'm afraid I have to agree. I think one of his best performances after having won BGT was 'Defined'. His voice is still not bad, but I'm afraid it's not good enough to be a 'star' outside the gay scene. He probably realised that himself and thought: "OK, better that then nothing." Don't get me wrong, I've nothing against it (being gay myself, that would be kind of ridiculous), it's just that I'm sorry he - apparently - isn't good enough to get beyond that.
