These Trench Crusade miniatures are crazy! You're doing a wonderful job breathing life into them! Have you tried DIY gore with UHU glue? If so, how does it compare to Dirty Down?
Thank you, yeah I have used UHU glue, I would say UHU is better for more targeted strands but this gore stuff is much better for creating lots of gore around say something like a large tyranid mouth. It has a longer working time for sire. Might have not been the best place for in this video but I wanted to try it and get a feel for it.
@TeddyKGBMiniatures Ah, I bet the increased working time is I huge plus. I've run into issues with how fat UHU dries. Good info! I'll have to checkit out.
Well..... This was informational..... Opal Skin.... I'll add it to my paints collection. And in all honesty, the gore effects were kinda too thick out of the bottle. What are those guys thinking? Blood is a liquid, not a form of hardening sugar syrup 😢
Thank you, glad you found it useful. the opal skin works well for this model as the source art had very pale yet rose tinted skin which opal skin is. The gore was the first time I used it so was a bit confused on how to use it. I think it would be really good in certain situations... In and around the mouth and teeth of a huge monster for example. Will try and bring it out again when I'm painting something more suitable
@TeddyKGBMiniatures i use Pallid Wych flesh for super pale models, and it tends to turn into something almost identical to Cadian Flesh tone when shaded with only Reikland. But Opal resists this. Not to mention that Pallid + Reikland is also identical to Guilliman Flesh Contrast paint 🤨🤨
@@alexhulea2735 I have pallid witch flesh and actually considered it for this but decided against I didn't think it would give the right feel but to be honest it most likely would have worked,
Honestly you could use any mid grey to light grey combo for that cloth part, its not important to use the exact grey. If you have any other questions let me know.

Thank you, I was trying to mimic the artwork but I think your right, a little bit of blood splatter on the legs would have looked cool. You wont be disappointed once they arrive they are amazing. What faction did you go for?
@@TeddyKGBMiniatures decided to spoil myself and pledged for the beast physical, also got the mercenaries that wasnt included in that pledge. Every faction had something cool i wanted to have and paint. But the faction i am most excited for are the mercenaries and the trench pilgrims.

This is a TC Model? Is it a proxy? The nun I got with my warband pledge doesn't match this one.
This is a TC model. There are 2 stigmatic nun models, one is fully armoured and one is half armoured.
