It's because Cubia is the Anti-Existence to the Key of the Twilight, and in .hack//G.U., the Key of the Twilight is Haseo. If I remember correctly, in the original series, Cubia had a shadowed version of Kite at one point as well.
yeah you remember corretly... but i was thinking Cubia in the first four games was the shadow of bracelet, and still i don't understand how he retunr in gu...
@SuperSaiyanSonix Well, there was the original One Sin, which Balmung and Orca fought in The World R:1. It had 65,536 HP and could deal one hit kill damage. Only way to defeat it was with an element attack with the opposing element of the monster. I agree that Cubia is nothing of the sort, but it would have been awesome if he was like that for the final battle in G.U.
Well I imagine finnaly a normal internet player No my friend is in a coma kinda the stuff that happened with Haseo Seeing someone actually enjoying and getting power drunk with Cubia's power would be awesome and Morgana in party if possible cause Chaos Route is what I always wanted
@SuperSaiyanSonix Cubia's not a virus. He's an A.I. In fact, viruses were minimal in .hack//. Everything went haywire due to some type of A.I. (Morganna, A.I.D.A., Cubia, etc.) in the series.
@OmegaChosen0 Someone using the power of the Anti-Existence Cubia as an Avatar....That would be quite the fearsome character...Can only imagine what the player's personality would be like.
I never really understood how in-game characters could beat a huge ass virus just by beating its hp, avatar NOTHING. Besides, it being a virus, wouldnt it bd able to like hack its stats to do 9999 damage? Oh well i wont question logic this game kicks ass nonetheless.
9 years later but i guess that Cubia is like a self replicating data bug or something lol, just causing mess all over the network just because it can keep creating dummy data without stop
Well apperently they in them selves arent data bugs but are entities dedicated to collecting data on the player base to feed to cubia, however i could easily get thay confused necause we spend the game hacking viris affected monsters
Maybe is because of the Bracelet and the Avatars? They offer data protection to their users to the point no normal administrator is able to delete them.
@shinumaruX Thats sort of what I meant, but still you'd think it would have god stats. Like I said, though, I'm not going to question logic, so I'm not trying to start anything. but I actually don't remember typing this 9 months ago...
AWARE THIS COMMENT BEING REPLIED TO IS A YEAR OLD Don't mind me butting in, but there were a lot of enemies in IMOQ (Data Bugs, almost all of the Phases) who did something like that - instead of damage hacking, their HP was bugged out (in-universe, the actual copy of .hack game in question probably wasn't glitching itself, you know what I mean) and would technically count as infinite, being displayed as gibberish. You'd need to Data Drain to make 'em beatable.
drain his hp, keep beast awakening on at MAX and use the broadsword and beat the living shit out of him. im doing that for the other self item and shadow, both five star and best in the game
if theirs ever a new .hack game like GU and the IMOQ please make a cubia vs the 8 stages kinda thing, cubia is the bad guy to everyone, and the 8 stages are the bad guys to the good guys, lets face it, cubia will NEVER be a good guy wen they can him an ass-kicking boss, i enjoyed skieth, but prefered kicking his ass instead...
@SuperSaiyanSonix I remember dying many, MANY times during the whole playthrough of infection to quarentine. I only died a few times during the epitaph battles on GU. Though, I've 99% completed GU, the doppelganger I still can't beat.
that moment you realized the boss forehead is haseo
Slenderboy The Evil Man wait it was 👀👀👀👀
Slenderboy The Evil Man I thought it was Harald. Wow

That moment when you also realize he's a reference to (or a rip off of) Bizzaro Sephiroth.
This sounds beautiful
Imagine the organ Billowing fire for every note played.

definately suits the final battle theme lol :D
@UberPoofyNintendoChi well there is a game where cubia is a player it is .hack//LINK but it's only in japan until who knows when
@OmegaChosen0 Someone using the power of the Anti-Existence Cubia as an Avatar....That would be quite the fearsome character...Can only imagine what the player's personality would be like.
Bryant strange it never happened as sakaki could of become cubia seeing as adia eventually became cubia and he had adia in him
AIDA and Cubia are completely unrelated tho, Cubia showed up after the destruction of AIDA because the tool used for said destruction woke cubia up
this game need to come back on ps4 i swear
wish granted
and then some as last recode is on steam too
Nor just Ps4, but steam as well
@shinumaruX Yeah, the difficulty was really downgraded from //Quarantine to //G.U.

@SuperSaiyanSonix Most definitely.
For next hack Main Character+AVATAR Cubia
The doppleganger is so easy though. :( I killed him solo all the time lol.
Shane Mitchell he's harder on the ps4 but that's only early on in part1
