A Co. Tipperary farmer says the rising cost of fuel will be detrimental to the industry this summer as farmers work double time to replenish their fodder reserves after a long and wet winter.
Michael O'Connell says the cost of the extra work and extra diesel will have to be absorbed by farmers who are already squeezed.
