    you can tint filament by pulling it aling the tip of a sharpie. looks very cool with transparent/translucent materials, and the upper layers of relief/cameo objects. (and propaby for lithophanes)

    Can you do a video about dual extruder and how to setup it up.
    thanks, man.

    would be really interesting to see what this plastic looks like after some acetone.

    Great video and quality of your prints. You mention at the end of the video that you would be doing a video on how to print and pause with filament change in near future. Did you do this video already as I can't find it in your collection here in YT.

    prints look great!
    I would love to be able to change color,
    but is that also passible in Repetier or Pronter?
    would be very pleased if you could also pay attention to that!
    friendly Christmas greetings from the Netherlands!
    (of course also for the viewers!)

    Im blown away that you reviewed transLucent filament and didnt shined an LED or flashlight from behind it to show how translucent they are

    Your printers printing perfectly the parts are coming out so nice.
    One thing that's driving me nuts these days is the spool size and weight is shrinking while the price seems to keep going up.
    I don't seem to find good deals on plastic these days only twice the price for half the amount of plastic.

    For 3d printer parts I am going back to ABS as everything I have done in PLA was just too rigid and eventually bearing holders, and 8mm smooth rod holders, just lost their grip and parts started to just fall out. Rather odd and these are never subjected to any heat above about ambient.

    I gotta say, other than for specific use cases where you need them, translucent filaments aren’t my cup of tea. They seem to highlight even the slightest of printing imperfections. Thanks for the review though!

    Are you using repetier host? If so, how do I put the pause print commands in and how are they written in code?
    Because if I pause my print via the lcd screen, all axis go to home and if I continue the print, it lost where it was. (I have not messed around trying to make my own command code)
    I'm using a Rostock MAX by the way
    Thanks in advance

    Did you say you're going to make a video about color swapping in the middle of a print? I've seen other videos and they include some gcode but I didn't know if there was an easier way. Thanks!

      Yeah it's all in the gcode. Cura has plugins which allow it via the gui, not sure about slic3r though - need to investigate...

    Hey man! Love your video's, really interesting to watch. I'm looking to get the same 3D printer soon so your videos are really helpful so thank you. Just wondering if you would do a video on testing these 3d printed bearings to see how long they hold up for, I thought this would be a really interesting video? Cheers

    Which tape do you use on your printbed? I am now using blue painters tape and a heated bed (mk3) at 65 celcius to print PLA. At that point the prints will stick to the printbed like crazy, so when you want to take it of you almost can't. So I dropped the temprature of the printbed, but then it will not stick that great to the printbed and the corners will bent. Do you have advice for me?

    • @Tech2C
      @Tech2C  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Raoul Ursum
      I normally use 3M Scotch blue tape 2090, but I'm testing some 3M Scotch green tape 233+.
      Sounds like you need to print with the heatbed active, therefore raise the first layer by 0.05mm increments until it doesn't bond so much to the tape. 65c is too high for PLA, try a lower temp like 45c.
      If you want to try without the heatbed on, raise the temperature of the first layer of filament to about 230c.

      +Tech2C Oke thank you, I will try it when I get the parts to repair my prusa I3

      +Tech2C I have got the parts to start printing again. I made autobed leveling on my printer and all the prints come out amazing. Now I am trying to print a rear axle, it just fit in my bed when I place it 45 degrees. I first testprinted one with 0% infill to see if everything fits, but now I am trying to print it with a 100% infill, but every time it wrap off the printbed. Could you help me?

    it's a mathematical knot.

    • @Tech2C
      @Tech2C  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Do you have the equation?

    • @maierpetarer652
      @maierpetarer652 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Tech2C no for the equation.
      Mathematical knots are defined that the knots don't have any kind of exposed ends.
      The knot is the treefoil knot and it's the simplest not simplyfiable mathematical knot at the same time.
