I was probably 2 or 3 when this ad was released, at the same time we lost our staffy to old age. I was convinced my parents lied about my dog dying and the makers of this ad stole him. RIP fourfours.
This advert shows both the qualities of the tyre and also makes a good image out of the English staffy, it's a game dog so it would try to win even if it can't. Now let's do something similar with the APBT.
I love this advert so much! Please Dunlop, re-release this advert! - How nice to see staffies portrayed in such a true honest light, not media scare mongering. Really makes me want to buy Dunlop tyres next time. Seriously good :) Brightened my day.

Rhubarb was owned by a woman (name escapes me) who used to run/be high up in the running of Birch Acres Dog training club in late eighties to mid ninties at least. She also had an incredibly athletic border collie called TopDeck. I can’t find mention of her on the BADT site which suggests to me there was some drama.

It's so deformed by artificial selection for a wide stance, short legs and a barrel chest it can barely run, and I bet it overheated doing those takes due to it's squashed face. I wish people would quit with this horrible notion that deliberate physical deformities are "cute". For the record, foot binding wasn't "cute" either.
+Luculencia lady I'm not a dog expert. That dog looks cute to me. Even dogs with 1 leg (however it happened) look cute. Cute is cute and is in the eye of the beholder. You are directing your anger to the wrong person.

There have in fact been Staffies that have won dog agility trials in National championships. You seem like the kind of 'know it all' that is too dumb to recognize their own stupidity.

Saw this for the first time today on the Scottish Staffie Rescue Site. It still beings tears to my eyes! Am such a sap! Long live Staffs xx
