You just made me realize I do a reset washday practically every washday lol.
Your hair looks so good! Another tip I recommend if someone is cutting their hair that you can always adjust and cut a curl here or there if it isnt laying right after a wash or two.
I personally found another way to cut my hair since my problem is the opposide of yours. The top part of my hair is wavier than the bottom so I cut the middle sections shorter than the top to get an even layered look without the disconnect.
Also if someone wants to maintain length while doing the unicorn or wolf cut, simply leave out a chunk of hair by the nape parting from ear to ear if you have finer hair.

That's definitely true. Normally I mention that when I talk about DIY cuts. I'll typically wait a couple of washes to make sure my hair isn't just misbehaving the one time. But trimming a few weird sections is a great idea. I forgot this time, so thanks. ☺️

I did pull out a section while cutting to check the length, but it probably wouldn't hurt to pull out a little more.
That cut looks really good on you! Good to get the heavy bulk off the top. I don’t think it looks shorter in a bad way. I think it would suit you too to go even shorter, but personal preferences 😊

Those are some very valuable tips and solutions! They definetly helped me out thusfar. The right cut is so important for curls, but I have not found the right one yet.

I am too much of a wimp to cut my own. I finally found a hair stylist who has curly hair and she’s excellent. I can go back and not fear she will botch my hair. She even remembered me from the first time! She says my hair is fun to cut ha
