The author had to pull off crazy shit Zone to win against Rakuzan. I should have expected it though, there's no way Seirin will lose after all their big talk about friendship and all but seriously? Logically, winning against Rakuzan in one try is impossible! I cried the whole time, poor Akashi *sob*sob*

I think all the members of the generation of miracles (including Kagami) actually have a way to beat each other. I like that they have all so different backgrounds and ways to train, that it is really hard to pick "the best" - that's why I loved when they all played together and combined those individual strengths. Akashi might be the emperor eye aka an amazing point guard and his characteristic absolutism is quite provocative and gives an edgier depth to him but I guess, that all the others would find a way to beat him, even individually.
1:48 and 2:27 were absolute badass moments. But that ankle breaker where they just drop to their knees is the worst, clingiest thing I’ve seen in this anime
It's not really plot armour considering it's not like Rakuzan started playing worse, and it's not like the second Zone wasn't a complete asspull up until that point.
Tbh I think Akashi enters "the zone" earlier than anyone else. He did that when he was playing against Murasakibara back in middle school. That's when he got those awesome heterochromia. 😍
