On April 1st 1979 due to some unusual circumstances I ended up in a church. I was severely depressed, and that day I expected some kind of change in my life. Service was over, and I got up from my seat to leave. I remember walking down the aisle toward the exit hanging my head, thinking to myself "I'm just the same, I'm just the same." Just as I was passing the last rows of seats a woman approached me, and asked If she could pray with me, I said "yes". We sat down and I repeated the prayer she was saying. As I was praying that prayer I started crying uncontrollably. I felt like I had been under a blanket and suddenly that blanket was pulled off me. Right then my eyes were open and I knew with all my heart that there was a God. All that depression left, and I became happier than I had ever been in my entire life, I was never the same again.

I agree, but the only way that happens is if we completely give our lives to Jesus and ask Him to show us our own personal sins, especially the ones we refuse to hear. And keep repenting until He sovereignly shows us we're pleasing to Him and without unrepented sin.

@@offthekirbhey Joe, I read Duncan Campbell's book 'Channels of Revival' years ago, in the 80s-90s, along with a few other great books about revivals, such as 'Cry for me Argentina' which I believe has been updated and renamed 'Secrets of the Argentinian Revival' which I had to reorder from the US more recently. Another amazing book! Amazing stories that gave me a great hunger to see the same in my own life and to be used that powerfully in some way. God answered my prayers, and I saw very much similar things happen, in the office I worked at in the early 90s, when in answer to my prayers, the Lord moved His Spirit VERY powerfully on that place, over 3 floors of 30 people. I witnessed amazing things and at least 2 people came to the Lord out of it. It could have been a lot more if I hadn't sometimes quenched the Spirit by some foolish actions. I'll never forget some of the words some people said. My supervisor said "It's like a bolt of lightning has hit this place.. Or a Heavenly Message." (He himself had gotten saved just before the Lord moved on the whole place.) A girl one day sat on the radiator and said out loud, "I believe in God." And another boy, a professing atheist, during one day of an incredible stillness and quietness, and awareness of God's presence, one day threw a fan onto the floor, and said "You're all too scared to say anything." -oh, and two other boys stuck post-it notes on my desk, one said "Touched by the Hand of God." and the other one said "GOD IS ALIVE." -plus, after the Lord moved, EVERYONE was talking about God, all day long, every day, for weeks!

Most of the world speaks Americanized English. Most of the world watches movies from Hollywood. America is the worlds melting pot that attracts immigrants from all over the world and many times people come to America illegally. I’m not bragging about it, it’s just the reality. You are right that revival doesn't mean a Benny Hinn revival, but a true movement of God in the hearts of people; a true thirst for God in a spiritually dry and barren land.

In my state in India Meghalaya northeast India we had revival in 1906 and 100 yrs later in 2006 revival came back and i saw it with my own eyes and experience the power of the holy spirit .....every night service end till 3am or 4am the market is closed by 5pm and by 6pm all are in church ⛪️. We saw people fighting with devil crawling the wall of the church choldren prophesied those men who used to drink and never go to church they cant stay at home anymore they cry before God.
My Grandfather who was a ww2 preacher used that verse Job 33 A lot, during his sermons. He had all his grand children memories John 3:16. He was a wonderful grandpa. We was blessed to have him for 100yrs.❤
We were led to move to the Isle of Lewis 16 years ago. It started a few years earlier when, at one midweek prayer meeting at a church we attended in Devon, we listened to a tape recording of the Lewis Revival and it awoke a desire in my heart that wouldn't go away. (Too long a story to share here!) The first time I visited Lewis, for three days at the end of April 2008 with a view to viewing a house here (the one we now live in), I sensed a difference in the atmosphere which had quite an emotional effect on me; a feeling of peace and belonging. There is still respect for the Lord's Day here. We live a few miles north of Barvas, in a district called Ness where the total population is around 800 and there are still four gospel preaching churches in our area. We are truly blessed to live here on this beautiful, peaceful island where we feel loved and accepted.

The fist time I walked into a church as a teenager I was deeply touched by the presence of the Spirit, and the unity and peace and joy of His people all there together. 500 people from all over the world. There, the Lord “met me where I was at.” The message spoke directly to the situation in my life at that time. The Lord is reaching out! Reach back to Him in love, receive and rejoice in His love today.

Yet another great offering, Joe...thanks, again! I remember back in 1965 my dad would leave his car keys in the car all night...with the windows rolled down, at that! We never locked the doors of our house nor the windows (which were usually open, anyway, because we didn't have air conditioning). We didn't worry about crime...we felt safe and secure. Later, late 80's I think, and only a few blocks away in the same spot where we played as kids, Little Amber Hagerman was abducted, carried away and murdered. The national "Amber Alerts" here in the U.S. are named for her. It's amazing that in those few, short years that things could have changed SO MUCH in our country and in our communities...in our WORLD! I'll be praying for revival even though a great falling away is looming. Love you brother.

The "New South Africa" was basically born under the slogan: "We demand" and lofty promises made which can never be fulfilled under the grips of entitlement! What we desperately need is a great conviction of sin on a massive scale and a revival, such as has not been witnessed in our land before! Joe! This video is for me the most powerful one I have seen! While watching it I felt the Holy Spirit all over me!! On April 1st 1979 due to some unusual circumstances I ended up in a church.
I was severely depressed, and that day I expected some kind of change in my life.
Service was over, and I got up from my seat to leave. I remember walking down the aisle toward the exit hanging my head, thinking to myself "I'm just the same, I'm just the same." Just as I was passing the last rows of seats a woman approached me, and asked If she could pray with me, I said "yes". We sat down and I repeated the prayer she was saying. As I was praying that prayer I started crying uncontrollably. I felt like I had been under a blanket and suddenly that blanket was pulled off me. Right then my eyes were open and I knew with all my heart that there was a God. All that depression left, and I became happier than I had ever been in my entire life, I was never the same again.
Praise God! His love is so big that it can pull us up from the bottom when we feel no hope and give us life.

@@offthekirbhey Joe, I read Duncan Campbell's book 'Channels of Revival' years ago, in the 80s-90s, along with a few other great books about revivals, such as 'Cry for me Argentina' which I believe has been updated and renamed 'Secrets of the Argentinian Revival' which I had to reorder from the US more recently. Another amazing book! Amazing stories that gave me a great hunger to see the same in my own life and to be used that powerfully in some way. God answered my prayers, and I saw very much similar things happen, in the office I worked at in the early 90s, when in answer to my prayers, the Lord moved His Spirit VERY powerfully on that place, over 3 floors of 30 people. I witnessed amazing things and at least 2 people came to the Lord out of it. It could have been a lot more if I hadn't sometimes quenched the Spirit by some foolish actions. I'll never forget some of the words some people said. My supervisor said "It's like a bolt of lightning has hit this place.. Or a Heavenly Message." (He himself had gotten saved just before the Lord moved on the whole place.) A girl one day sat on the radiator and said out loud, "I believe in God." And another boy, a professing atheist, during one day of an incredible stillness and quietness, and awareness of God's presence, one day threw a fan onto the floor, and said "You're all too scared to say anything."
-oh, and two other boys stuck post-it notes on my desk, one said "Touched by the Hand of God." and the other one said "GOD IS ALIVE."
-plus, after the Lord moved, EVERYONE was talking about God, all day long, every day, for weeks!

In my state in India Meghalaya northeast India we had revival in 1906 and 100 yrs later in 2006 revival came back and i saw it with my own eyes and experience the power of the holy spirit .....every night service end till 3am or 4am the market is closed by 5pm and by 6pm all are in church ⛪️. We saw people fighting with devil crawling the wall of the church choldren prophesied those men who used to drink and never go to church they cant stay at home anymore they cry before God.

We were led to move to the Isle of Lewis 16 years ago. It started a few years earlier when, at one midweek prayer meeting at a church we attended in Devon, we listened to a tape recording of the Lewis Revival and it awoke a desire in my heart that wouldn't go away. (Too long a story to share here!) The first time I visited Lewis, for three days at the end of April 2008 with a view to viewing a house here (the one we now live in), I sensed a difference in the atmosphere which had quite an emotional effect on me; a feeling of peace and belonging. There is still respect for the Lord's Day here. We live a few miles north of Barvas, in a district called Ness where the total population is around 800 and there are still four gospel preaching churches in our area. We are truly blessed to live here on this beautiful, peaceful island where we feel loved and accepted.

Joe, this is by far, the best video you’ve ever produced. I’ve heard some about this time of revival, but you brought it to life, and conveyed how the power of God was there with the people. I enjoyed seeing the area….so beautiful! My spirit felt the presence of the Holy Spirit as I watched. You are so right….we need to pray fervently for revival! The fist time I walked into a church as a teenager I was deeply touched by the presence of the Spirit, and the unity and peace and joy of His people all there together. 500 people from all over the world. There, the Lord “met me where I was at.” The message spoke directly to the situation in my life at that time. The Lord is reaching out! Reach back to Him in love, receive and rejoice in His love today.

Yet another great offering, Joe...thanks, again! I remember back in 1965 my dad would leave his car keys in the car all night...with the windows rolled down, at that! We never locked the doors of our house nor the windows (which were usually open, anyway, because we didn't have air conditioning). We didn't worry about crime...we felt safe and secure. Later, late 80's I think, and only a few blocks away in the same spot where we played as kids, Little Amber Hagerman was abducted, carried away and murdered. The national "Amber Alerts" here in the U.S. are named for her. It's amazing that in those few, short years that things could have changed SO MUCH in our country and in our communities...in our WORLD! I'll be praying for revival even though a great falling away is looming. Love you brother.

Her husband confirmed this.

The "New South Africa" was basically born under the slogan: "We demand" and lofty promises made which can never be fulfilled under the grips of entitlement! What we desperately need is a great conviction of sin on a massive scale and a revival, such as has not been witnessed in our land before!
