- Why was this 2,300 year old book banned from the Bible? In this book we read about the fallen angels, azazel, samyaza and archangels Gabriel, Michael and Uriel. And how the angels came against each other after the Samyaza encouraged them to go to earth and teach men and women wrong things. What book am I talking about? The Book of Enoch, so should enoch be banned from the Bible and should Christians read the Book of Enoch, Joe Kirby gives his opinion on this apocrypha like book.

Dear friends, I have an apology to make, I made two errors that need correcting. Firstly, I said BCE instead of BC and to my shame I didn't know the difference.
Moreover, I also messed up in stating that Noah's dad was Methuselah not Lamech. Again, I will do better and I'm going to make a video with a compilation of all of my dumb mistakes that need correcting over the years, on my second channel "Joe Kirby" and I'll also explain how I memorise my messages/having no team and so I can easily miss things and get myself jumbled without realising it.
Guys please remember, I'm just a simple street preacher who is just as surprised as you are that the Lord allows me to reach so many people around the world each week.

It’s OK for you to make a mistake. You’re just proving that you’re not perfect. The only Jesus is. And we greatly greatly respect you standing up and saying what you did wrong. I don’t know you personally. But I know you through your videos, and I want you to know that I greatly respect what you’re doing. Every Christian should be shouting God’s Word from the rooftop. But not every Christian is a preacher. We are all missionaries and we all have a testimony to tell someone who is lost how we found Jesus.

I praise the Lord Jesus for your decision. 😊 May God keep showing Who He is to you as you read. As you likely know, Matthew Mark Luke and John are beautiful accounts of Jesus's life on earth. Several times you will come across the same account but from a different perspective. When you see something that looks different, write it out.
Add them together. Collect.
Once you add up all the pieces of that event you'll see a very clear picture of what God wants you to see. 🌅
In Psalm 119:160 it says the sum of thy word is truth.
This is why it's important to add scriptures together. On the surface sometimes it may seem like something contradicts itself, but know most assuredly, it does not. Because of Revelation 22:18 and 19, We just need to keep collecting evidence and adding scriptures together until God reveals how it all fits perfectly together.

My son told me about Gods war as he was passing away. It was extreme. An invisible force told him that he couldn't tell me anymore. After he spoke to them, he looked at me and said Mom im sorry but i cant tell you anymore only God can, its too much for human ears...... and he was right. What he told me was shocking. After he passed, i read the book of Revelations and he quoted scriptures from it. But he never read the Bible. God is real.
I lost my son in Oct of 2021 he was my only child..my baby my Jake. And he too knew what is to come and it is frightening. I believe our sons will be in Fathers Army..coming soon❤

Except the Word of God doesn't have "basics".
It's all just as valuable, just as required and just as important as every other verse.
To call something from the Scriptures basic is to insult the God who inspired it.
God is not "basic", He is eternal, He is without measure and without equal, He is limitless and incomparable.

@@heatice77 You’re totally and completely right. Unfortunate when you are misrepresented online, such a shame these days the responses people give to uncontroversial statements. By basics, you clearly were referring to your foundation, like how can you get into the details if you cannot even love your brother consistently for example. We faulty humans do not succeed perfectly in even the basics yet we in our arrogance may think we are ready to take on more. What we do with the little we know will determine if we can handle something heavier & God knows what we can handle & he won’t give us more than we can bear. So be of good cheer and look at what you do know, God knows you can bear these basics and that should uplift us to hold these basics close to our care. To dismiss it and arrogantly think you are ready for more is the same as saying “I don’t care about the basics” so why care about the other things if the foundation isn’t cared for. He who is faithful in little is faithful in much :)

I watched most of this video and then I went back to my feed and scrolled until I found something else that interested me. I clicked on a Christian video about Christian women covering their head. This has been on my heart for years and I have never heard an answer that satisfied me until now. She read from 1 Corintians 11:3-16. The words that resonated the most came from verse 10, "the angels were watching". Wow! I had just heard you say that the angels were attracted to the women with long flowing hair and they came down to earth to mess with them. I just wanted to share with you how your videos are helping me make so many connections. I accepted Christ as my Saviour when I was 9 years old and I am now 55. I've been in church my entire life. In the last few years I have realized that all those pastors really missed the mark in teaching.

The truer meaning of “covering their heads” is to cover themselves with Adonai (G-D). In the Hebrew it did not say cover their hair. In the book of Enoch l, it said how there was a spaceship that was flying by the trees and lifted him up and took him in space and showed him the ways of the universe...that's a freakin alien spacecraft. Those aliens are fallen angels that were teaching mankind things which was forbidden.

Believe many people will take the word's of Enoch, word for word. I wonder if we must see some of it as parables, as YESHUWA did when here on Earth? I read the book of Enoch, I didn't find in the book says to change the name of Lamech to Noah. It's clearly said in the book of Enoch says Metusalah is the son of Enoch, Lamech is the father of Noah. Enoch is the great grandfather of Noah. Same as in the bible. You are incorrect to say Enoch is Noah''s grandfather. Nothing in the book of Enoch says that Noah could talk when he was born. I have been a Christian since I was 9 yo (58 now). I’ve have been interested in the Book of Enoch for about the past year, at least. I really loved this explanation and I have to say, the desire is completely gone after listening to you. You have such caring and empathy with hearts exploding for the love of Jesus and everyone’s hearts to be right with God. Thank you 😊
There were two Enoch's, Cain's firstborn wrote the evil book which contains what is described here as errors. The Enoch from Seth's lineage came a few generations later and he walked with God, his book is full of details that are useful for us. The same or very similar names appear in both Cain's lineage and Seth's, this creates many issues as to who it is exactly we're dealing with, but if God speaks to you, you should know which Enoch's book you read. He will teach discernment, and then you will know whether it's right or not as it will ring true, or it simply feels wrong. Never stop researching, knowledge is power, and we need all we can get in this battle, it may be all we have to arm ourselves with.
There are three books of Enoch: 1st Enoch, 2nd Enoch (bad) 3rd Enoch (bad).
1st Enoch does not say he was turned into an angel. It is in the 3rd Enoch that it says that.
Enoch is NOT in heaven. No body prayed to Enoch they only went to sought out the mystery of Noah birth which is different from the rest of mankind. It was a misconstrue statement to say no sinners can be safe. Enoch was referring to those who rejected the messiah and are disobedient to the law of God. No difference like in the book of Revelation. I read the passage I understood clearly was written to whom it was written. Messiah is made clear in this 1st book of Enoch. Very little contradict the Scriptures.

Man could not atone for sin no matter what they did even when following the old law (Torah, Old Testament) sacrifices for sin, etc etc, so instead of man having to sacrifice for every sin every time someone sinned against God, he gave us this (John 3:16) which I recommend you read, Jesus being the New Testament, is a reflection of the Sacrificial Lamb of the Old Testament. We no longer are bound to the old law (Old Testament) but instead we are bound in Christ by His sacrifice on the Cross.

The sacrifices before Christ did not atone for sins, they were symbolic of the coming of the Messiah and His sacrifice. The affects of the "new covenant" described by the Bible don't exist, we're still waiting for the new covenant. Jesus came to save you from your sin, not in your sin. Make sure you don't stay a sinner. There are important details to understand this. First of all, be born again (repentance, baptism and the Holy Spirit). Then your finally free from the slavery of sin and you can choose the Spirit. This doesn't mean you could never fall again. However you are no longer bound to the slavery of sin. So you no longer walk in sin. But you're a saint.

That's great, if it's true. But what it actually means in practise is that you will end up bowing to all these borderline psychotic fundamentalists who claim that their version of christianity is the only one. It isn't. What they are preaching has very little to do with Jesus' message.
I once went to Sunday school with a friend of mine years ago. I went to a church that I have never been before and the Sunday school teacher was a pro camper/hiker as his hobby and He preached about how just a few steps in the wrong direction could lead to being lost and confused and he talked about how important it is to stay on track so that you don't get lost and confused and how your life depends on it. He then said how much more does your eternity depend on you staying on track with Jesus purpose for your life and putting your faith and trust in only the Lord Jesus Christ. That sermon was one of the most powerful sermons I have ever heard because it's true we have to see what the Bible says about certain subjects that we may be confused about and we can find our answers there.

All 3 of your reasons do not disprove or conflict with the bible.
Enoch did not die. the angels are messengers. you can in fact pray for the living. the as to pray for. so if we do have angels who watch over us. they can in fact give us help when in need. as long as you are not worshiping them in the prayer. God sees all Prayers and he sends the help. because the angels always see the face of God.
Sin. you can know of sin. but you have to be shown how to be more sinful. Kane did not know his brother would die. his action showed him the results. this does not conflict with the learning of sin.
If Enoch was turn into an angel. i can not see how that would conflict with the bible because he was the 7th man. and it was a man who came up with calling him a lesser God or equal to God. not the book or Enoch making this claim.

He mentioned many times that we all saved by Jesus Christ, however if you don’t speak Amharic you will never understand. It’s breathtaking how Enoc expressed about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! That being said, I have also read The Book of Jubilees, The Book of 1st Enoch, & The Book of Jasher, but ONLY after having a sound knowledge of the Biblical Canon. Jasher is mentioned in the Old Testament & Enoch is mentioned in the Old & New Testaments. I try to discern what I read in all literature, but The Holy Bible ALWAYS reigns supreme in Truth.

Being a good teacher MUST ALIGN with scripture. The only way to read the original bible is to find the FIRST bible, which was written in Hebrew, I believe. Is it the Holy Bible? Is it another version? Only you can do the research and learn for yourself what the REAL bible says.
I was 19 yrs old back in 1988 when I read the Entire bible. Enoch walked w/ God 650yrs and that was it !! God took him..
But not to heaven or hell. It just says God took him. Everyone assumes that's what that means. But that's not correct. Because Moses and Enoch, were both close friends with God, so God never said where he put either one of their bodies. An did that on purpose because he knew that his loyal fallowers graves would be destroyed and decimated at the hands of gods enemies. Think about it this way if it was your loved ones or friends, wouldn't you do the same. But don't take my word for it, do the research in the Bible. YOU will be glad you did. Cheers😊

Something else that the Bible says in dueteronomy 34.6 he buried him/Mosas in the land of Mo'ab opposite of beth'peor and nobody knows where his grave is to this day. Genius 5.24 says God took him/enoch. But it doesn't say where he put him. He's not in hell because there isn't a hell. He's not in heaven because of what Jesus said in john 3.13. We know that the Bible does not contradict itself. So what do these Bible verses mean to you? Not trying to start an argument. I'm just curious, is all.

A lot of what he says is wrong about the book, the book of Enoch does not contain any contradiction, he didn't even know Lamech is the father of Noah, not Methuselah. Methuselah is the grandfather of Noah. It's on Genesis. This guy's research is hugely flawed.

The book of Enoch is a controversial and confusing book. Yes there were giants and mixed dna. I would not recommend reading Enoch for a beginner Christian but for someone who has studied the Bible well. It has theories that the Jews believed in and we don’t know if they are true or not. There are things that God didn’t want us to know about, like evil, he just wanted us to know about what is good. I’m sure that God warned them about evil beings and to leave them alone. Eve listened to a pretty talking snake, ate the fruit and then gave it to her husband. I wish that she had screamed and ran away. 😢

I've began reading the book of Enoch, and frankly it makes a lot of sense and actually helps us understand where we got our wicked inspiration from.
Dont forget it adds a lot of things and not even mentioned in the bible and even twists truth form God And this is highly dangerous.

I had on to my to-read list The 1st Book of Enoch, after finishing reading the Bible. It is with relief, Pastor Joe, that I came upon your video. It truly is God speaking through your videos, pointing me back to the true Spiritual North, the Word of God, the Bible. You saved me a lot of time by summarizing and finding the mistakes for viewers such as myself. I pray that this video reaches far and wide, especially to new Family Members, so they know the Bible is the only manual we need to live by each day. God Bless and keep you, Pastor Joe❤.

The scriptures of Enoch rode in the ark which was given to Noah from Methuselah which died a week before the flood. I would imagine being passed down through family it would b wrote in by family as well. Enoch was a righteous man who walked with an was taken by God. 2 times it's mentioned in the KJV Bible. It states that Enoch did not die that he was taken. KJV Bible was written in 1604-1611. God said he would preserve his word. I think ppl need to study more than just the KJV. The holy spirit moved ppl to write scriptures. So do we as ppl chose what to read or do we read all of the holy Spirits scripture? If I was the devil what would I want to hide? What would I want u not to believe? Where does it mention Azazel in the KJV? Do we put a limit on God's ability to make a child speak? If no savor has come how an why would they pray to Jesus if all they knew was 1 an only God. How would Enoch know about a savior to come? Where does it state that no angels are married in heaven when Jesus asked the Sadducees and Pharisees? What about the mention the book of jasher in the KJV? So many more questions that can b answered.
@@sarahprovenzola6773Enoch is part of the Bible. When the original Bible was created, Enoch was part of it, as well as many others that church fathers in later times removed. I'm not discrediting off the kirb but I do suggest you do your own research

Think of the Book of Enoch exactly as you think of Strong’s Concordance. It’s strictly reference material.
Enoch, and four other books, was in the 1500 Bible. But was taken out of the 1611 Bible? Why The fallen angel & Catholic wanted to erase history of the bible! For in the bible it said that any man know the name of the fallen angel, that the angel can't harm man! Exorcism always demanded the named of the devil and in the named OF JESUS cast unclean spirit out of a person!

From what I read, Jesus didnt ask for followers but imitators. I am not sure if by just believing, you get saved, instead of actually acting. I think it's an easy cop-out to say "Hey Im a member of the club, I have the t-shirt, so I should have all the club's benefits" without living the teaching daily, denying yourself, not having earthly possessions and giving your money to the poor and the needy. I doubt anyone in this country lives like that. You wouldnt even have internet a computer or a phone if you did :)

I remember reading the book of Enoch, maybe 4 or 5 years ago. I always pray that the Lord gives me wisdom and discernment before I read the Bible and any other religious materials, so I only walked away thinking that the descriptions of what these fallen angels taught mankind seemed there could be some truth. I never read the whole book, but I still have it. Thank you, Joe for sharing your thoughts on this book that so many people truly believe! 🙏🏾

According to the book it was essentially Greek mythology back then. The angels were the Olympian gods, the giants are the titans and the animals the angels had sex with created monstrosity mythical creatures.
@@offthekirb another mistake that you made, Noah was not praying to Enoch. That time Enoch was living between heaven and earth because God gave Enoch some knowledge, until one day God told Enoch that he would stay in heaven. Enoch never died, Noah was just calling to give some answers about what would happen to the world. It says there Noah called out not praying. Enoch was still coming to his house until the last day he had to say goodbye, he told his family that he would be in heaven. It was not rapture or sudden disapearance. He left with God but he said goodbye to his family
@@mmt2508He needs to fully reread The First Book of Enoch. If he had truly read it, then he would have understood what it is written in there. He seems to be describing the other two books which are blasphemous books and have nothing to do with the first and true book. He does not seem to know Jubilees or Genesis Apocrypha as well.

I think you have a God given gift, a special talent to reach the hearts of people and bring them to The Lord. I have been a Christian all my life and your message always grabs me and pulls me in when I'm already there, kneeling at the foot of the cross.
