How desoto ended up winning state after that SFA game last year i still cant wrap my head around
There matchups favored them in there playoff bracket they were in 6A D2 Bracket they played Rockwall-Heath ,Tomball,Harker Heights ,Guyer, and Vandergrift if they were in the 6AD1 Bracket they wouldnt have won. They were just one of the better schools in that playoff bracket but like Lancaster there a 5AD1 School its all put together by size of enrollment. The bigger schools tend to be better but not always because they have a larger group of kids to select from but thats not always the case there are smaller schools better than some bigger schools sometimes it depends on area and demographics
@@JonathanMcDonald26Guyer was like number 3 team in the state and top 10 in the nation last year I believe before playing DeSoto. DeSoto had a good team, I think they just got in their own way during that game last year. They over hyped it and you could tell by their play and the play calling was very conservative compared to the other games. Kinda how Duncanville looked and played against Mater Dei compared to the rest of the season the year before. Still don’t think they would’ve won, but it would’ve been a better game if they could’ve treated like they’re playing a normal school .
@@Gr33dy214 Guyer was ranked 3rd by max preps but by Dave Campbells TX Football they had DeSoto Ranked Higher so when DeSoTo beat them i wasn’t surprised thats another reason when comes to texas i go off there state rankings they update it every week lost bad to Duncanville later that year to they became ranked higher than guyer before they played because DCTXHSF realized it throughout the playoffs
