    Amazing video!! Thank you so much! ありがとうございます!What are some ranges for the cost of utilities/home insurance etc. for a couple that lives in Tokyo in a small house vs. a マンション? Is it quite different or similar to when renting?

      @@CassieG. If you expect to buy a small or mid size property(70 sqm) in major cities in Tokyo, ¥30-70,000,000 should be the price range. In terms of the costs, condo unit(apartment unit) needs at least ¥30,000/month extra fees for maintenance compared to detached house. Insurance fees and those costs along with your purchase are not really different. Renting seems a bit cheaper than buying from my perspective.

      @@eisukekiuchi Thank you so much for your reply and honest answers! I'm living in the northern part of Tokyo and paying quite a lot for rent (new building, dog-friendly). It's very comfortable to live in, but I don't think I should keep paying this much long term, so I'm interested in trying to buy a place in the next few years. I've also followed your IG!

    I’m active duty military stationed in Japan and will be retiring in next year with 35 years in service. I’m not married to a Japanese national neither I have permanent residency status. My retirement pay is way more than the 3M yen per year requirement. If I pay cash for a property would that grant me some kind of a permanent residence immigration status? Thanks!

      @eisukekiuchi  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I'm not a visa expert, but I've never heard of acquiring a residence status just by obtaining a property.
