I wish somebody would sit the first grade teacher he talked about down in front of a computer and show this presentation to her. Amazing what a difference in intelligence there can be between a "teacher" who takes a basic college course to babysit six year olds vs. a professor at a university. Great presentation, Dr. Dula.
You're an amazing teacher! I learned more in 15 minutes of your lecture than I have all term in my own prof's lectures! PLEASE continue with these videos!
I am in a college level course Social Psychology and this just helped me a great deal. This is also a great parent figure, and giving the kid a chance. This is a must watch for social psychology students around the world.
You're a star, especially re power of 'neutral encouragement' to override the negative effects of that horrid teacher's negative labelling of that child.
Maybe the essential component to all racism and political ideologies. I hope this is a concept worthy of the attention given celebrities. Soberingly I was unaware of this until this morning.
Fantastic explanation, I was so confused about the concept of attribution, and attribution error , this is a great video for understanding. And, it´s true that people should watch this video so we understand each other better, at least less per-judgement before you really know the person.
Those prejudgements, never would desist, and how or why some possess the tendencies to do so is only because they feel that they can get away with it. But not self-realizing others are doing the exact same thing to them, or simply, rather not give into anyone else preconceived notions about them.
Thank you so much for a great lecture. I just wonder what happened with the boy in the example later on, after you left the class. I hope he got a better teacher.

The story about the child made me cry. It’s sad how children are made to be scapegoats.

We really should educate ourselves so we don’t pass these unfair bias’s to others

Is the complete playlist of these lectures available?
Can anyone tell me what textbook the Professor references? Thanks
Where can I find the rest of these?
That is great!
Does the professor have more videos?
