Finally made my way through Nioh and Nioh 2 and was not disappointed as such has found a way on to my heart. Spent the past few weeks getting through these let’s plays!!
For the chests with the Mimics inside they have three gold bars on the side. If you whistle at the chests they come out by themselves instead of hitting you.
Use medium/heavy weapons (Tonfa, Spear, Axe, Hammer) strong attack to ring and after a couple of hits, the bell just falls. Just to be on the safe side, make it fall.
gets owned by that one arm dude as fighting the Tesso, after a few button mashes... "Aight! lets check this achievement really fast" i get it bro, this place gave me cancer too :D
I've been having such a difficult time getting used to this game. I have been doing great with other games similar to this (all other soul type games) but there is something that's just not clicking with me here. It's beginning to weigh on me and I'm starting to lose motivation to play. I've finished the tutorial area and can't kill the one leg hoppy demon asshole. I dunno why. Even with help. I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.
We've all been there. What's helped me is watching enemy animations. Just as the enemy releases their weapon is when you have invincibility and party frames. Practice on the samurai in the dojo, you'll notice that they load their weapon before releasing, that's when you can parry (depending on enemy) or dodge
Most likely what the issue is, is that you're not set on what build you want to do and are leveling things based on cook weapons and armor. And there is nothing wrong with that. But you'll have a harder time than if you fully spec on what build you're wanting to do. Once you get set on that it becomes a lot more fun and manageable
Im a week late but thank you for the replies. I've slowly been getting better. I still am pretty terrible but definitely improving. I just have to find a day where I'm levelheaded enough to die repeatedly for a few hours while basically relearning how to gitgud. Oh what fun :D
Wesley Borges as someone who plays basically only soulsborne and ”souls-like games”, I can tell you that Nioh is quite difficult to get into. Not necessarily gameplay-wise, but the gear, skills, cores, stats, sets, forge, temper, spirits etc. It takes a while to learn but once you get better, the menuing becomes faster and you will become better. Gear is basically the most important thing in this game. In Dark Souls, you can get by with R1 with a basic upgraded sword. That won’t really work in a game like this. Of course, you need skill aswell, but that won’t come unless you play the game and explore all the mechanics. Late, but keep at it. It’s a fun game to learn and even more fun when you get the real hang of it.

Qasem Ali You can use it in a fight to shatter ki as well. Two hits before they fall.
A Tesso's weak point is it's tail. Careful though because I believe they start the sonic the hedgehog loop attack if you hit it.
nah they just start spinning when they're low on hp
What is your opinion of the game so far Cowboy?
I watched a guy use a spear to ring the bells so maybe try a different weapon?
