Very interesting video with an important study on wearables. I wear my Garmin all day every day. I am going to reconsider that now. To be fair though I tend to ignore my watch when I run and ride, except when the alert comes up. No naked running but scantily clad (no bike computer). I tend to exercise to feel most of the time. I do not have Strava or a public way to share my training. It is just for me. Thank you.
Thank you for watching! I was the same. Wore my garmin 24/7…but I find I got hooked on the data. There are many benefits of the fitness trackers/watches to be sure. But when the study came out, I figured it was time to revaluate. I believe Garmins all have silicone, so they are much safer than the Apple watches and fitbits :) Good for you for not checking it during rides/runs! Sounds like you are very tuned in to your body 🙌 which is awesome!
I already run naked in my nightmares. I'm late for a final exam, I'm in the middle of campus, I'm naked, can't find my clothes, have no idea of how I got this way, I can't find the lecture hall. So yes, it's been done 500 times in my nightmares. I do run every day in the mornings. But with clothes. I have noticed that my distance and pace have increased since it has gotten cold.
@@courtneysmithtriathlon I need to correct myself on the word ""cold". I should have said, "cool". Averages in January here are 66/50 F. This morning it was a cool 42 F here in temperate San Diego, CA, USA. But yes, my distance has increase in the cool. I wonder if that's a measurable scientific thing, or if someone has studied that? Denser air/oxygen, less heat stress?

Hi friend! ☺️

Haha I have had that nightmare too!
Cold am runs daily = Bravo! I find it hard to run in the cold. So the fact that you do well in it is impressive!

I don't know if naked running will make you any fitter, but I highly encourage it.
Unless it's me.
Haha 😆 naked running for the win!
