Wow I had no idea that you could join a faction in Hearts of Iron IV. Really helped with the achievement. Maybe you should do a series on quick achievement guides. You could call it “speechievements”. How has nobody thought of that before?

In the end these achievements are pretty pointless (it's just a little picture saying "good job") and are not difficult (95% of them), they are just painfully tedious considering the fact that almost all HOI4 achievements are divided into two groups: clicking focuses and world conquest.
Most of them are just tedious and uninteresting. Especially the ones like make the whole world fascist or make the whole world British. Ain't nobody got time for that.

Most of the rare achievements I've gotten I got through playing without historical AI on and the AI just giving it to me like playing as Spain and getting the achievement popup that I retook Gibraltar when the UK just gave it back to me
Bulgaria existing entirely in Macedonia is both weirdly logical for the time period and incredibly funny considering resent events, Tuvan bloc truly is the last boss of HOI4

@@gandalf_thegrey The ParadoxPlaza forums are full of complaints about the AI. Perhaps you shouldn't rely on Reddit and Google for your information. Many players will also have no idea that the game isn't functioning correctly. They won't know how the AI is supposed to function because they haven't read through the code that affects AI behaviour. Furthermore, if you play on ironman, you can't (easily) see how AI countries are behaving, which you can without ironman, and therefore won't even be aware that certain things aren't working correctly.

Playing with any world changing mods actually disables the mods. Like tool pack, player led peace, and mods like Red Flood or Kaiserreich do it as well.

Been in a rut, ISP, been playing EU4 with China and the Middle East Swapped for too long since the new windows update. Watching you deal with your HOI4 rut makes me feel better about my own.
I only have 7 achievements. I did a playthrough as mexico to get thr most basic ones in a single run, reaching 1948, joining a faction, making 1000 convoys, etc
I have it, messed the civil war up pretty badly lol, but the somehow pushed through, hated it though absolutley annyoung to do. Try the Gran Colombia achivment, that is hell in the early game, manpower issues, Peru and loads of occupation.

When I did the civil war i just mainly followed the Siberia railroad and when I got the urals I went Nortj and south and I also the Siberia RR all the way to the sea.

I have 1931 hours currently in HoI4 and 0/171 achievements. The reason is simple. The idea of playing unmodded and in ironman mode is absolutely abhorrent to me.
Strangely enough this is one of the achievements that i took the time to do back in may of 22. And yes turkey is a pain if you dont kill them soon had to fight all the allies besides the US.
Just to clear something, some of the achievement require DLCs, that not all players have them. I think you should mention that in your videos, otherwise thanks for the tips!
The rarest hearts of iron 4 achievement is "get a girlfriend" as it requires the player to click "exit game" followed by going down the "take a shower" branch of the focus tree down to "go outside" followed by "talk to a woman". At this point there is a small chance of success due to rng which can be improved by taking the "go to the gym" focus and if you are unsuccessful then you have to reset and try again. Truly the hardest hoi4 achievement.
"Friend in need" went up by 0.1% since ISP uploaded this video *15 minutes ago*. This could get big in a day or two.

Actually ISP did the achievement in a suboptimal way, you can join a faction on day 1 as Sinkiang, 0/10 unwatchable unsubscribed
I tried to farm a few achivements once, but then I asked myself: Why do I hate myself so much?, and stopped doing that.

I got this achievement accidentally when I first played as Imperial Russia since Turkey joined the axis
Maybe the reason only 0.7% of all the playerbase has it is because you need the No Step Back DLC to get the althist path and catch a Romanov.

my first hoi4 achievement was the 1000 convoy one and I just played Britain and put all my dockyards in convoys and akf’d for four years.
No one plays ironman because you need to be able to reload after going afk on 5 speed for 10 minutes.
I have hundreds of hours of play time in Hoi4 and only now after this video have I realised I don't have a single achievement.
