Awesome content, thank you for not just giving tips and hacks, but instead a good understanding of a concept

An easier way to do it is using a comb filter that has key tracking, and sending an impulse or noise blast to it. Also fors had a really cute free karpluss strong m4l device. The device you made sounds cool and unique tho

It’s possible to approximate the chromatic scale with Expression control keytrack, but it’s fiddly. I usually start by setting my delay to C3; which is 131 hZ rounded up, which is a period of 7.6 ms. Then I fiddle with the min and max mapping values while I play C-notes at different octaves.

Well done! I was trying to do that, also fiddling with the curve of the expression control. But i could not get it to work

@@TheFellowPassenger yeah, it’s never going to be perfect, and you won’t get all 128 midi notes.
I’ve managed to get 3 octaves out of this technique, and beyond that it quickly goes out of key.

@@TheFellowPassenger been using the technique and didnt knew it had a name, also adding operator fm capabilities and a bit of random from the expresion control makes this techique a resampling machine for glitches and stuff. Loving your videos as I watch more and more of them

It’s a shame we are so conditioned to western scales and rhythms…. Turn sync off sometimes 😅 … Thanks TFP for the ever creative gems.
