I am using the same laptop but I had 3 cell battery which I recently upgraded along with the Wi-Fi module. For the SSD though I will stick with the SATA based SSD as NVME SSD drains battery faster. Thanks.

Has anyone tried using a 32GB RAM stick in this computer just to see if it works? I have noticed over that years that Dell has repeatedly made claims that their system can only handle specific hardware only to discover that's not actually the case. The laptop i have now says it only accepts up to 8GBs of RAM but i was able to upgrade it to 16GBs ( Dell Latitude XT3).

Interesting, this seems to have the LTE WWAN antennae and screw for the chip, while another teardown on TH-cam has neither. I wonder if there's a way to tell which models have it

nvme, sata should work too but didnt check in mine and nvme is too cheap now

I have a laptop that looks the same but has a fingerprint and uses a sata ssd can it be upgraded to an nvme ssd?

Mine has the fingerprint as well. Sure you can upgrade to NVME. That M.2 port / slot takes both the PCIe / NVME and SATA based SSD. However, go to the BIOS first and make sure you have both the SATA and PCIe check so that the computer can automatically detect the type of SSD. Personally though, I wouldn't recommend to use NVME if battery life is your concern because NVME SSD uses more battery power for read and write. SATA uses lower power for same operations thus provides longer battery life. If speed is all you want, go for it. Thanks.

you can use egpu but it isn't worth price for extra psu, thunderbolt station and gpu itself

You would have to upgrade the ram stick in there and add a new one as they can't be different mhz and the existing ram module is only 2000 odd mhz

Yes 2666 is the highest speed your RAM can run at provided it's supported by your CPU (and MB) for example intel i7-8650 can only support 2400 so your ram will run at slower speed
