Electric cars will make everything worse that they say they want to fix. They are expensive and bad for the environment.
And there is not a chance in hell that they will get rid of gas vehicles in 6 years
They didn't say 'get rid of' they said stop making & added to that I guarantee they'll raise gas prices into the double digits, along with other taxes like carbon offset for operating a gas vehicle, sky high insurance rates on gas vehicles because they're "not as safe" as electric gas could blow up etc..

I know why people are concerned about the 70s coming into the 21st century. I was there; waiting in the summer heat for gas, for an hour or more because; the lines to get to a pump were so long. It may well come back again; if we can even afford a single gallon.
I was 5-7 yo at the time. We always went to the library on Thursdays after school, because then my brother and I would have new books to occupy us while our mother waited in the line to fill up our old baby-blue Ford Falcon. We had cookies and drinks, and read our books--no AC, we just sat there sweating. It was ok though. Unlike today's children, we actually survived without AC in the car.

My parents had 3 service stations then. I still have headlines that festured the businesses st that time. Parents did not comply with fill up refs as they needed to be there to open, close snd staff tge business. They had contracts with the city, piwer company and other important infrastructure entities.
