I am not the biggest fan of Hollywood films, to say the very least. However I do thoroughly enjoy each and every movie review that I have watched on this channel and I have been doing so religiously for the last six months or so. These two dudes are extremely chill and they are probably the best movie reviewers on this platform. TH-cam‘s recommendation algorithm was actually on point for once. Mad respect and much aloha from the Big Island of Hawaii.
“Not the biggest fan of Hollywood films,” what? Do you only watch foreign films or I’m confused? Hollywood releases like 800 films a year. How could you make such a broad ridiculous statement? You just automatically don’t like whatever Hollywood releases?
Angelic singing from Ian. Saw this in theaters and so many people walked out at the cop death. Wild.
I don’t blame them.
That's nuts. The scene you describe is so tense and frightening.
I remember when I first saw Doctor Satan I was like "Damn that's some Fabius Bile vibes right there!"
This is not my cup of tea kind of movie, but I love the review. The enthusiasm, the energy, the fun, the analysis!
Sitting up here north of Seattle. Midnight is upon us. And my brothers from across the pond drop this gem of a review!!! I saw this in a theatre when it released. I was very excited then, and your review has sparked the same level of enthusiasm! Thanks gentlemen!
I hate anything Rob Zombie has ever done but I still tune in to listen to people discuss it for some reason lol. Thanks guys!
While I do love The Devil's Rejects more, House of 1000 Corpses is still a pretty good film! I think Rob is being too harsh on himself. I love the characters, the casting, the sets, kills, jokes, everything is spot on! Sid Haig is AMAZING! It's a shame he's not in the film much, but when he is, MY GOD!!! HE IS FUNNY! It feels like a great tribute to horror and classic horror and my other tributes. It's a stupid movie, but a FUN stupid movie! MY only problem, and many others have also pointed out, is at times, it feels like a huge Rob Zombie music video, rather a full length movie. Fair enough, since this was his first film debut and Rob Zombie only done music videos up until this point. But when The Devil's Rejects came out, he made up for it and fixed those mistakes he had done in 1000 Corpses. But other than that, still worth checking out! Turn your brain off, sit done, shut up and just enjoy the stupid craziness of the movie!
Finally you guys review this one!
Good to hear people say nice things about this. I do want to disagree though - Lords of Salem is very good - like Rob’s been possessed by the shade of Ken Russell
Well get to see the finished product because you edited this video of this film on twitch fun time
Having a hectic (but good) couple of weeks, but I'm totally kickin" back this evening with a KFC and OTSR! Have a good one, Shelfers! 👊
there are enjoyable things about lord of salem.
for example: jump scare you see coming but there is no jump as in there is no sound, nothing happens, just a figure in the background. surprised me at the time due to over saturation of loud sounds in movies.
It took me until the 2nd watch but Lords of Salem is fantastic and creepy and unlike anything Rob has done before or since. So underrated.
Apparently sherimoon found the run rabbit scene so scary
Earliest spot of Rain Wilson I caught was in csi, prply first season. He was a red herring
I always thought this was his best. The acting was really good.
Rob Zombies films are totally crazy! 😆 Thanks for a great review guys, and thanks Iain for the singing! 👍
I saw this in the cinema, legit when that long pause happens I think a few people left the theatre seemingly to tell staff that their movie had frozen or something.
SID HAIG & MICHAEL J POLLARD
were on
STAR TREK: TOS
Rob Zombie can see flaws in his first movie...
I've been waiting for this review from you guys. This was one of my few horror movies that made scared as a kid. Been a big fan of Rob Zombie filmography and music. My favorite movie of his is The Devil's Rejects. Great reviews and a greeting from Los Angeles.
The Devils Rejects is the only thing he did that's worth watching. The rest ranges from below average, to fucking terrible.
I wish zombie had another great film in him. Devil's Rejects was pretty good.
Lords of Salem had a great atmosphere and characters and was filmed lovely but then then halfway or so through it becomes Kubrick's Rosemary Baby, but no one is Kubrick.
Awesome review as always, guys! 👊👊 let's pray you never get a request for reviewing The Munsters 😂
That Dog Soldiers tshirt is bad ass! I need one.
Never saw this film but remember the song from the end of Sinister Urge.
Verry effective horror movie no doubt as well as the devils rejects
Love this movie, and it's first sequel. And for the record this is the most enthusiastic I've seen you two for any movie. However, I've pretty much loathed everything Zombie did since those two.
I saw this when it first came out, still my favorite Rob Zombie movie. love that style and homage to TCM. Met Sid Gaig at a convention right when this came out too, really cool dude! RIP!
I said this movie was a classic when it came out... And everyone shit on it...I've watched it more times than I can count, one of my favourites, great review as all mateys
I've always enjoyed this film
Nice review guys, cannot believe you are recommending this incoherent dreck but still it was a good review. 😆
Love this trilogy. Gotta do devils rejects and 3 from hell also
Never seen 3 From Hell but you have to do Devil's Rejects which is awesome
shelf life! ❤
Lol, clever.
Hurrah!! soz don't watch em all when they drop, but if I aint seen it I don't watch a review. Top Buzz on this one. Killer cast. Such a strange interesting movie n precursor to The Empire Strikes Back of horror movies? Sure why not, lol. Ty very much gents :) Top one Nice one
I saw this in theaters last year for the 20th anniversary and loved every second of it
You're both willing to ignore so many stupid and irrational things in this movie one would think it's a Kurt Russell film.
Maybe I have to try some of his movies again... I have hated each and everyone of his movies like plague...
Guys, please review A DARK SONG, a brilliant occult horror!
Is that about the woman who wants to invoke the devil?
A raw, primal homage to 70s grindhouse exploitation horror...not bad & it opened the door for "The Devil's Rejects", which is terrific.
Such an awesome intro 👏 😂 and wow, what a kick ass review! I really must give this a rewatch, and after watching this review, I'll be doing just that thankyou lads 👊.
😂😂😂"This video is definitely getting demonetized, fuck it!" 😂😂😂 you guys are the best!
Not really relevant, but just had to let you guys know. Nightdive studios just teased on twitter a remastering for The Thing video game...
Zombie has a really good understanding of aesthetics and imagery, like in a good music video, but really needs someone else to help tie it all together into a coherent film and story
Top work boys
😀 An Acquired Taste this one guys. Great review as always.
Thank you, this was entertaining. 🙂
indeed back in the day horror movies were in another place, this classic yet new style was a cool take on the genre with lots of cool details and interesting things going on, and still today worth watching
U didn't crack up gary that time
They don't look like teenagers Iain lol
Always enjoyed this movie great review guys!!!as always
Love this film. Fucked up weird, bizarre but so funny in parts. FISH BOY FFS!!! Just crazy but Ace!!!
Yes yes yes i needed this one
Zombie improved his directing abilities with The devil's rejects. But he did a "Neil Breen" and his next movies got worse. I mean, The Munsters.
Hello you beautiful bearded men. Please review We Are What We Are (2013). Love from Arizona ❤
Guys, where the fuck is Saw X review?
House of 1000 Corpses and The Devil's Rejects are the only good Rob Zombie films.
I'd argue The Devil's Rejects is his only good film, and even that falls apart at the end
@@finger3181yea he's pretty bad altogether
I don't think el superbeasto is to bad
Exactly
I agree.
*turn up*
Have you both seen the new alien teaser.... As well as the new alien vr game coming out soon as well as the killer klowns from outer space game comming out. Would like to see all reviews on these at some stage
The only film iv seen Sherrie in without robs name on it was that crappy toolbox murders remake, dont now weather he had any connection to it though?
She's been in odd episodes of crime shows where he's had writing or producing credits, but yeah that Tool Box Murders remake is actually listed as the only starring role she has had that hasn't had Rob Zombie attached to it in any way!
IMHO The Devils Rejects is a lot better.
A terrible mess of a film Sid Haig was great though
👍agree Haig was the lone bright spot in this crap
Universal said we aren’t releasing that cuz it SUCKS !!!!! BE HONEST
The only reason anyone likes this film is because they hadn't gotten over exposed to rob zombie yet.
His " white trash obsession, same cast , basically the same movie over and over and over and over.
It's early 90s type shock horror.
Then he ruined Halloween.
Zombie is a 1 trick pony
🧟
My gut tells me ne that Univeral didn't want to release this movie because it sucks.
Jesus, Iain! You're so hipnotized by this crap movie that you ignore the fact that Tiny is deaf so he couldn't hear Denise asked him to untie her.
This is in my top 3 worst films of all time.
Have you guys done brain dead yet?
This movie came out when i was 14. Since then ive been yelling DR SATAN! Maybe he lives next door to you! At random people 😅
Too many side stories like s soap opera.
This is the dumbest horror film ever made. I mean,as a comedy it is not funny. As a horror film ,it is not scary. There is not much gore in it at all. Actors mostly suck. The plot is IDIOTIC. Apart from an interesting setting and backgrounds, there is NOTHING in it worth watching. And I say it as a massive White Zombie fan.
