Oi gente!! In this vlog I took an overnight bus from Vitória to Belo Horizonte, hung out there, and then took a day trip to Ouro Preto. I hope this shows a different side to Brazil that not many people have seen. I had so much fun and I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts about the stuff I did. Thanks for joining me, and stay tuned for my next vlog where I visit São Paulo!! 🇧🇷💚

Hi! I'm from a state on extreme north of Brasil called Pará and we call ourselves "paraenses". It's on the region of amazon so we also refer to ourselves "amazônidas" or "nortistas" (from the north). I'm going to visit my sister in BH next month, nice video!!

Hello, Jeannelle. Though I live for many years now in São Paulo, my familly and I are from the state of Piaui in the North East of BR. People from that state are called piauienses. Cheers!

"Your pronunciation of 'cafézinho' is adorable! It always brings a smile to my face. 😊 I'm from Brazil, and we call someone from São Paulo a 'Paulista' In my case, I was born in Juquia, so I'm a 'Juquiaense' However, I've been living in Sorocaba since I was 8, so I also consider myself a 'Sorocabana'.

omg so many names, didn't realize the cities would have names too!! It's like me, being in California I could consider myself a "Californian" but I live in San Diego so I could consider myself a "San Diegan" too.
And I'm kinda shy when it comes to pronouncing things since I don't 100% understand how things are pronounced yet 😅 but Alex helped me with that one

Minas Gerais doesn't translate to general mines, Gerais actually is the name for the biome up north in the state, the word also can mean "general", but that's not the case.

That's awesome! I wonder how they thought of these names cause I would never think that a carioca came from Rio 😮

I'm from Rio Grande do Sul (in the south of Brazil) and we are called gaúchos

Wow, it's in the very southernmost part of Brazil! And that's interesting that you're called gaúchos cause I would have never guessed that!
