: Interesting video. Thank you for taking the time to make them. There was a veterinarian in our area that everyone knew and took their pets to. He was terrific. After 35 or 40 years he retired. When one of my current cats got sick, I went to a vet recommended by a friend. He was terrible. My cat was throwing up every commercial food I fed her and the vet never asked me about her diet. He poked her stomach a few times and basically said she was going to die. And he charged me $650. Neither cat has been to a vet since. I fed my cat nothing but raw ground beef for five weeks and she recovered. Now I feed my cats mostly homemade fresh food, supplemented with Weruva wet food, that is low in calcium and phosphorus.
I know how difficult it can be to find a great vet. However, it really is important for cats to have an annual checkup. They're so adept at hiding pain that they often live with conditions that are easily treatable. As to their food, I highly recommend Dr. Lisa Pierson's site - catinfo.org - as a source of reliable feline nutrition info. She even has a section on making your own: catinfo.org/making-cat-food/
