knowing the meaning behind the song makes me so sad because you can hear ari’s pain in her voice and knowing everything she went through is so heartbreaking. i can never imagine going through so many horrible things all at once and still come out strong. i’m so incredibly proud of her because even though this was one of the worst years for her, it was one of her best. i feel like once she sings one of these songs live the world will finally know that she’s okay 🥺

Honestly her tragedies made me pay closer attention to her lyrics in her music. It’s very unfortunate but I’m sure a lot of others can relate. Although a lot of her music was very commercial, as I continued listening to her, A lot was deeper than she let show. Even though it was very blatant and transparent. She’s good at hiding her pain .. which is why it’s so more easy to relate to her true emotional feelings. Not to mention, she’s just an incredible singer , she’s good at creating the sound and experience with her vocals and sound wave.. dreamy translucent and beautiful

Yes, it's like the start is so haunting with the distorted synth and it floats in the bad feeling, confusion, sadness and shock. It moves to the like "I need to move on, I need to continue my life" but it's still like "this is too much for me to handle". This song isn't only moving, it's also a little haunting and mysterious. Never have I cried for a song so much.

Sometimes it is just so hard. You don't ever really get over loss like this. When I was 17 my dad passed away from cancer and then 7 months later my friend/crush died from a car accident. Grief is the final act of love and I miss them every day. I have gotten better with dealing with my losses but the longing to be with them again never goes away. It is overwhelming and I feel like a burden at times because I know that any relationship I have will have to put up with me always missing them. grieving them. Mourning them. This song means more to me (& I am sure others) than Ariana will ever know. I feel like I should be ghosting those that passed but it is impossible to forget the type of love that some people bring into your life. Thank you to Ariana Grande for sharing this song during a time of pain and helping me further connect with my own grief and come to terms with it. Every day is a journey.

But you have TIME. It is the only resource which we can not obtain more of. We all have a limited time to be on this plane of life. Give it time, whatever you're going through. It will heal you.
