- HEAVY RECOVERY - 12-11-2019 - ABCOUDE - Along the Gein-Noord in Abcoude a tractor with bulk trailer has been launched on the water every month. The driver was hit by an unknown cause of the road, luckily he could get his truck cab independently. The truck then remained in the ditch all night.
The bering started in the course of Tuesday. The salvage was done by Wolves Autobering, Van Schie and Bergnet. It was a difficult job because the road is not wide and there was little workspace. The workspace therefore had to be made. Around two o'clock in the night the truck was back on its wheels.

I was waiting for it to roll back into the ditch because nobody remembered to set the hand brake as seen on so many of this type of recovery.
Sta er altijd weer versteld van hoe de bergers zaken oplossen, alle lof!

If I’m not mistaken the tanker that came to off load the overturned vehicle was an artic, most likely of the same size. My guess is it was a couple of seconds of lack in concentration on the part of the driver. A great recovery though in adverse conditions. Well done Miche Media for showing the whole recovery, after all this is the most interesting bit. Regards to all. Mick🇬🇧

This is a very good video, but I very much doubt that the truck weighed 40 tonnes? A two axle unit and two axle trailer wouldn't weigh that much fully loaded and would be around 15 tonnes empty, wouldn't it?
You are right, approx 20 tonnes for the vehicle combination and 20 tonnes for the load which has been removed prior lift.
