Glad youshowed the connectors , it helped me after I tried for 30 minutes to plug and play. After following your video I made the connection and they sound good. Thanks
Interesting to see there is a small cubby behind those panels. Would be good for those who have to wear a helmet to use those pods as blanks for a smidge more storage.
Im first going to get a 6 " hole saw drill out the stock pods that have no holes for the speakers. If i break it and im doubting that will happen. Then and only then will i spend the $200 plus for the enclosures
There are plugs/covers on the end of the wires that have to be removed..if you're using the Polaris pods wirh rockford speakers..direct fit.. if your using SS works or a.differnt brand Get there harness or cut and splice thr wires
Dealership wanna change uus $500 yo install the roll bar roof mine you $2000 for just the original top my husband told no we installed it was easy you can do it anything if you can
Thanks for getting back to me appreciate that..good speakers by the way few guys out my way run them in there sling..I'm going to try and put ds18s in it
One other question, how did they fit (like did the face of the pod go right back on)the dealership I bought mine from said other brand speakers wouldn't fit
I just received my RF speaker pods and I picked it up from the box and was surprised that it was light. I mean, it doesn't even feel like there's a speaker in it. Is yours like that too?
I have the 2023 Slingshot S Tech. I purchased the SS speakers and have them installed but there is no sound coming from them. Turns out, the inlet isn't connected to anything and the dealer + Polaris are saying I need an amp to run rear speakers. Is there a way around this or do I actually need to buy an amp. I have the Rockford Fosgate sterio from polaris, not the upgrade $1800 one they sell.
Indeed, if you do not have an amplifier, the wires will not be connected to the head unit. There are two possible solutions for this: Connect to the front speaker leads: Run a wire from the rear deck to behind the speaker pods and tap into the front speaker wires. Use an amp with high-level inputs: Tap into the front leads and connect the rear speakers using an amplifier with high-level inputs. It is recommended not to purchase the factory amp, as you can obtain better quality for the same price.
Thanks. I just bought a 2023 slingshot but didn't get the R model but I do want the pods. I did get the Rockford Fosgate system in my S model but thinking about getting the Ride Command....

Thanks. Install went smoothly. Video a big help.

Where did you buy the pods and speakers? Also all of the R models have the pre wire? I have a 24 Roush.

if you have a R with the same setup I have, he lied bro
Im first going to get a 6 " hole saw drill out the stock pods that have no holes for the speakers. If i break it and im doubting that will happen. Then and only then will i spend the $200 plus for the enclosures
ive seen this done
Bro !! Where did the speakers plug in at ? The plugs didn't fit on mine. I got a 2023 tech pack tho. The clips are there but they are the wrong ones

Looks pretty easy. But those speaker holders look expensive?
$620
I'm going to just get a 6" hole Saw and drill it. If I should break it, I doubt it will happen. Then I will spend the $200 plus enclosure
Nice walkthrough I’m mad you make it look so easy I paid a lot to have the dealership install it smh
no worries bro.. Always try yourself.. if it doesn't work... you can always pay the dealer :)
Dealership wanna change uus $500 yo install the roll bar roof mine you $2000 for just the original top my husband told no we installed it was easy you can do it anything if you can
On a 2023 is it really just plugging that one cable in and you have sound and power? Or is there more to it?

@@relllong4879 I ended up buying an amplifier to run the speakers. An aftermarket one will work just fine.

I had a 2021 R model and I didn't really like the Rockford Fosgate radio at all. I didn't see the hype on them
they are ok.. I got the rear speakers for the pods.. Ill upgrade the speakers soon
I have same year. Soposedly has 400 watts, but doesn't sound even close to that.
You don’t explain well where the wire are underneath
