Bro I'm not sure this is the best way to get introduced to Death, or death metal in general lmao. Great reaction as always Maddy!! Also RIP Chuck Schuldiner, singer of this band and one of the most wholesome men in metal music.
I haven never been so excited to see a reaction and than instantly disappointed and clicked off as this reaction made me do. *shakes head* Maybe try actually reading the lyrics to see how deep this song actually is. RIP Chuck \m/\m/
Maddy, is this your first time listening to Death Metal Yes, this is Death Metal music and the metal band DEATH are the pioneers of the genre Death was an American death metal band formed in Altamonte Springs, Florida, in 1984 by guitarist Chuck Schuldiner (who later became the band's sole vocalist), drummer/vocalist Kam Lee and guitarist Rick Rozz. Death is considered to be among the most influential bands in heavy metal music and a pioneering force in death metal. The band's 1987 debut album, Scream Bloody Gore, has been widely regarded as one of the first death metal records, alongside the first records from Possessed and Necrophagia. Sadly Chuck Schuldiner passed away in 2001 due to an illness If you react to some more Death again and get started to knowing the band, Here are the songs i recommend Symbolic 1000 eyes Lack of Comprehension
Lol Death is rarely anyones cup of tea.. Chuck changed his vocal style on all albums which was very unique and awesome IMO.. he also played lead guitar and vocals wich in a technical death metal band is very rare.. Apples to oranges, great video!
Great song but obviously the vocals are hard to stomach for someone who isn't already into death metal. The vocals here really aren't typical of death metal either, at this point in his career Chuck (the vocalist) had a very "anti death metal" attitude, which is why he went to the higher pitched vocals instead of the typical growling vocals. He felt the label of "death metal" was putting him in a box with what he wanted to do with the band, even though he basically invented the genre. Maybe try a band like Amon Amarth for an easier introduction to death metal.
Brilliant song from the greatest album of all time. I think that the lady reviewing this song doesn't quite get it. This is classical music. Songwriting brilliance like this doesn't make its way into Rock music very often.
3:20 nobody "scream" on you. Yelling require to use vocal cords, death metal growling not. Otherwise the signer going to end up at the emergency after four day of touring.
I loved your reaction... and I'm a huge Death fan. Your reaction is not surprising, because Death is not only an acquired taste but also very technical and abrasive. When I first heard Death I was already into progressive music, and tech and death metal. Death for me was exciting and amazing and I wanted more.
Okay , here is the thing , music is mathematics literally + physics , to enjoy something like metal music (i am not talking about even death metal and beyond that , progressive technical death metal band called Death) , you need to have at least a base of knowledge and understanding of music genre + technical aspects of the musicianship what is put in there. It is like if you give a for 6th grader who is good at math riddles , a quantum mathematics riddle to solve. So there are many bands like this who are like on the beyond genius level of creation what is called music. But I would suggest you to start with basics or something that is less hard to tap on. If you enjoy complexity(progressive and technical composing of music) but do not enjoy harsh vocals you can start with bands like : Tool , Dream theater , Opeth , cynic. Or if you just want to tap into classics and understand the base of how things evolved you can try : AC/DC , Black Sabbath , Dio , Accept , Van halen , Iron maiden , Judas priest , Manowar , Motorhead. Good luck and enjoy the best genre that is eternal ! Metal makes us strong ! keep up the good work girl ^^
Thanks, I enjoyed reacting to Iron Maiden, I also love Polyphia. I like math metal…but no amount of math or scientific formulas will change my utter disdain for screaming / growling music. ☺️ LOL
@@MaddyReactions I was the same tbh, but with time I grew to love them. Now some of my fav albums of all time like blackwater park and symbolic have harsh vocals. But I agree they can be hard to stomach for first time listeners, at the same time I'am glad I stuck through cause there's a wealth of great albums with harsh vocals.
Oh Maddy you have betrayed my Love for you 🤷 every piece of this album has meaning and NOT " just thrown together" the album is an absolute Masterpiece. Get the behind me Satan , Chuck screams for a reason. R.I.P. Chuck
out of all the reactions videos your is the most neghative towards this great band and it`s music.... the fact that you are sincere gave you a merrit point, however, I was expecting more comments about the musicianship and the music itself
The first verse starts out "Guilty until proven innocent / We condemn your soul and fate / Never mind the possibilities / Too busy for logic or to calculate". The song goes off on a tangent from there and I don't find it very clear or to the point. The music side had lots of potential. If I compared this song to say "Hand of Doom" by Black Sabbath there's potential but Sabbath is the First and Last when it comes to this style of music. When I say that I'm really only talking about the first three albums by Sabbath. I stopped listening to them after their 3rd album for some reason.
Hey ur back! I thought you'd fled the country with 5 bucks😂😂😂I was about to put out an APB! I'm kidding but after t-day I figured you quit.I wouldn't have blamed ya😂.I have it on good authority great songs are ahead glad u back
I remember the day when he died...still the pain is with me. Rest In Peace brother. Death is not a sort of music suitable for most of the people because one should be in the same frequency as death and also one should be a metalhead in the first place.
You either like this kind of music or you dont. I like death, trash, heavy and grind, but i wont subject myself to stuff i dont like. I dont really understand that she doesnt get what she is listening to, but hey, we are all different
This isn’t a good representation or first time listen to Death. Please try Voice of the soul by Death. It’s purely a instrumental track and i think you would enjoy it and to ease you into their discography. Very beautiful and mixed with acoustic guitar. 🤘🏽

Reaction people, especially ones that look like you (pretty, normal dressing, typical look of a Taylor swift fan) no offense as it’s not meant as an insult, usually are the ones that should probably stick to more accessible and popular music. I respect people trying to get out of their comfort zones, but done privately, not for clicks. It’s like a “restaurant influencer” that eats at diners time and time again (ordering burgers and fries) and decides to go to a French restaurant one day for escargot. Yeah it’s not going to work out 🤣.

Death metal is amazing acquired taste for sure. Death are one of the pioneers tho. They have some slower songs as well. They are known to be one of the more melodic death metal bands.
I can understand someone maybe not taking to Death Metal straight away, it's certainly an acquired taste, but so say this is a Chaotic mess is just straight up ignorant
It would more so be like this: After telling everyone “said person” has a dislike for spicy food, they are blindfolded and taken to a restaurant which places the spiciest dish in front of them and expects them to enjoy it. Lol I do reactions based on requests, not by my own choosing.
The guitar shredding was good, that's about it. @MaddyReactions you should just refund someone when they suggest songs like this. Then you don't have to go through that torture or any of the viewers 😂
Damn it, when this song began, I really liked the intro. It had great promise, and I was ready to upload into my kick ass Playlist. Unfortunately, when the vocalist started singing, it hopped on the bullet train straight to SHIT TOWN!
Lol, metal vocals are an acquired taste. It's a shame too because so many people just instantly dismiss it, but there are so many absolutely amazing metal songs. But it's like a kid drinking his first beer and just being like EW never drinking that again don't like it. Still more palatable than most pop music vocals imo.
@@evil_chuck People can call COC anything they want, I don't care. I call it "Smart Metal," because they're both intelligent and kick-ass. To me, they are the Steely Dan of Metal!
I agreed with you, this song is very disjointed, I like heavy music, but this song is missing a few things. I am not a good singer, but I could sound like this guy. Cannt understand half of it. I disagree. Death are like one of the best metal bands in existsnce. Theres hardly any better metal bands. it might sound like the song isnt well structured only because of the vocals since its an aquired taste but otherwise the song is very well structured.
