In my area the Southern Electric Board probably in the 70s 80s often used White T&E cable outside. Yes in looked horrible but they never used grey . It was made by CAP (cables & plastics ) .It lasted and lasted . In fact I find the older the cable the longer it lasted outside.
I assume it was a different recipe plastic in the old days .BICC cables used to be the worst I found for deterioration outside.
The reason that plastic conduit has discoloured is because these days it’s rubbish . Made with recycled plastic.

I would like to say that is DIY Dave who used that T&E on the outside wall ( having put the clips in upside down) but sadly, a lot of sparks are happy to use it outdoors to keep the costs down. Personally, I use NYY-J for exteriors that don't require the protection of SWA.

Pitacs 3 Core Flex Rubber Cable (3183TRS) 1.5mm2 Drum. Toolstation, 300/500V for environments like workshops. More durable than PVC with standard risk of mechanical damage. this was recommended to me for my daughter's outside lights.

I've seen people run pvc/pvc cable for both mains and data ran externally aswell as in conduits and drain pipes where the standing water has permeated the out sheath and inner sheath causing short circuits.
my pet hate with clipping any cable is the clips being used upside down (nail at the top), I.e if the clip were to break then the cable is gonna simply drop and sag, where as if installed with the nail below, at least the weight of the cable sits on the nail and not on the plastic.

The black PVC conduit must be pore quality if it’s starting to discolour. I installed black PVC conduit on the back of my house three years ago and it hasn’t discoloured at all, next door had CCTV cameras installed last year the feed from the CU is in white PVC conduit and has started to crack a bit and slowly turning an off white. Sky used white co-axle from the dish in to my house, it looks awful. Also you have to be a pilchard to clip TW&E to an outside wall. It’s a big no no ,
    Great video as always Gaz👍

There's a guy near me who loves a bit of black conduit outside; safe to say every summer his conduit looks like snakes as it expands 😂

Plus clipping T&E externally looks awful imo

      56seconds in…twisted t&e.
I would’ve been told very sternly to do that again when learning.
      Tut tut. 😂😂😂

The cable is also twisted to the right of the light fitting. Whilst I remember, can you run the cable parallel in between the bricks and then point over the top?

On an EICR (Electrical Installation Condition Report) would that cracking cable be a C3?

I find just a simple coat of paint, is all that's required to protect twin&earth from the sun's UV exposure.

Not the best and with these higher temperature it could get worse quicker ...always put it on my test certificate.

Narrator speaks too fast and without variation.

Sadly, I have to agree. I hate to criticise as the subject matter of GSH videos is excellent, but the rambling drone of the narrator completely ruins it.
