You're loving the Martin-sung DM songs lately! This is one of the very few DM songs that was recorded live, all in one take - no overdubs or comped vocals. Martin sang live in-studio with the orchestra, and it really brought out the best in him for sure. Great string arrangement.
Wasn’t sure you’d done Get Right With Me off this album but I guess you must have. Martin’s sung songs on this album stand out even more than usual because of how heavy the rest of the album is. This was originally the b side to I Feel You. Doesn’t get much more opposite than that! Yet both songs are undeniably Depeche Mode. Such an amazing band. Looking forward to you getting into Memento Mori.
