    Somehow the yellow seems to bring out the cabling more. I absolutely LOVE it!
    My grandmother used to recycle yarn all the time. She’d take apart old sweaters and turn them into new ones. Thank you for bringing that memory to life for me. 😊

    This is gorgeous, I'm glad you got to reuse the yarn for something you really love and use, especially with the time put into spinning it. It was beautiful natural too, but this yellow is so warm and goes well with the textured knit and that skirt!

    That cable pattern is amazing! I need that in my life! And the finished sweater is so cool, I think the yarn looks better (komt beter tot z'n recht) in the new sweater than it did in the victorian sweater. Also your skirt in the final reveal is really cool too.
    So sorry to hear you were sick during christmas, I hope you were able to enjoy it a little anyways, and I hope that the 'rona didn't stick around for too long! I actually caught a flu two days before christmas, so I too spent christmas eve knitting at home.

      You can find the pattern in the video description. It is a paid pattern by Sari Nordlund, which you can also find on Ravelry. As I do not own the intellectual property to this sweater, no I cannot post a full tutorial on how to make this. But the pattern is superbly written and I cannot recommend another designer more than Sari Nordlund!

    Beautiful! You must be so proud of how this came out! Have you ever tryed dyeing with Red onions? (If they are available in Belgium). I understand they give a rich brown colour.

    • @MijnWolden
      @MijnWolden  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They are available, but we (my father-in-law and I) don't seem to use them enough to save their skins for dyeing 😅

    • @Cate-and-Maddielion
      @Cate-and-Maddielion ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MijnWolden I guess you also don't have any shortage of brown dye sources, as you have access to walnuts and acorns! Yellow is probably more worth the trouble of saving the skins

    • @Cate-and-Maddielion
      @Cate-and-Maddielion ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry if asking if you had red onions in Belgium, that was a really silly thing to ask

    • @MijnWolden
      @MijnWolden  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Cate-and-Maddielion no it actually wasn't! the most common used onion in France is a different onion than the most commonly used onion in Belgium, local cultural differences are quite big on geographical small scales here :D

    Damn !! that sweater is GORJUSSSSSSSSSSS. *fok yeah* 😂😂 and I love the variations in the colour. How fast do you knit ? It looks like you just whipped that thing of beauty up overnight - I can barely cast on - and never tried cables (well not yet 🙄 maybe now that I am 60 it is time to try ?). Just made me laugh. Deeply relatable. Why weave in the ends when you could wear it instead?

    • @MijnWolden

      So relatable. I recently walked past a very intricate and colourful crochet project that I finished last year (Sophie by Dedri Uys) and have had hanging over a table at my front door (to show off) and noticed a dangly end hanging out - it was the very last stitch I made 🤦‍♀ I think I must leave it 😁😁
